We like Vermillion a lot. We have been going there for years and the quality has been consistently high.

The environment is nice and the waiters always very kind.

We have found that the temperature of the room tends to be a little on the cold side, mostly in contrast with the softness of the carpet and the colors chosen for the walls, but this is just a matter of personal taste.

Food is consistently very good. Prices are noticeably higher than other Indian takeaways in the surroundings but the cost seems more than justified by the tastiness of the food and the experience of dining-in.

I usually enjoy large portions. I like that in the case of Vermillion they are manageable: they are large enough to satisfy me but not too large that I would be able to eat only 1 thing. Most recipes are in fact very rich with cream and sauces.

Tonight we tried to share a starter of prawns (really good) and 1 main of lamb to be able to taste 4 different vegetarian sides. We loved the variety, flavour & texture of each course.

Quite nice, my wife’s lamb dish was nicely spiced and I liked it, but she wasn’t mad on it, and my dish was very sweet and had none of spice promised. There are better Indian restaurants around.

The food was disappointing — everything tasted bland and overcooked. The service was slow, even though the place wasn’t busy. Definitely not worth the price.

I ate here last night with some friends and this is one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Dublin, it was very quiet last night with only two tables with customers so I cant really comment on the atmosphere. Service was excellent the person looking after us was very patient and friendly, the food was gorgeous the right amount of spice and flavour my only issue is that we didnt have much meat in the mains and if the price is €22.95 I would expect alot more I would think I prob had half a chicken breast in mine and the rest was sauce, peppers and onion.
Starters were delicous and I will be back again.

Four of us ate here last night and it was delicious! Really from the various starters we had and the gorgeous main courses everything was excellent. Delicious ice cold beers went down a treat as we sat at the big windows chatting it up. See below for a pic of the shared starter, jeepers the prawns, massive and so so succulent. Big recommend!

Lovely food. Nice ambiance. Two early birds last Sunday. Given an incorrect bill with the drinks added from another table! A mistake . It can happen ! However, I take exception to being charged an extra 7 euro for the prawn starter( 3 prawns) and an extra 7 euro for the prawn main course! ( 4 prawns ) The prawns were lovely but 21 euro extra added to the bill , to eat 10 prawns is just over the top ! ( we had two prawns starters) Crazy !!!! I think that needs looking at !!!

Timeline of a disappointment. May 28th – 17.09 received email announcing jazz night 2 course meal on Friday 20th for €25, 17.24 replied querieing date, 17.27 reply apologising for error and confirming date of 30th, 17.33 received email confirming reservation, 18.05 received amended email for same deal but on corrected date, 21.04 received phone call advising of error about price, 21.12 received email confirming cancellation. Reminds me of the booking I made a couple of years ago for a Christmas meal for a party of five on the 2nd Tuesday of December, only to receive a phone call late on the afternoon of the 2nd cancelling the reservation because the restaurant wasn’t open!
