What truly made our visit exceptional was our bartender, Anna. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the drink menu but also crafted each cocktail with precision and care. Her friendly personality, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made us feel like valued guests. Anna went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience, and we can’t thank her enough!
If you’re in Kapolei and looking for a place with great vibes, delicious food, and outstanding service, Moani Island Bistro & Bar is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
The staff is exceptionally friendly, outgoing, accommodating and efficient. There’s live entertainment nightly playing the kind of music you’d expect to hear on Oahu.
If you’re staying at the Hampton Inn, just 150 ft door to door, consider yourself lucky. I’d like to personally thank Anna and Kolton for making my visits fun, enjoyable, putting a smile on my face and taking care of every need. Mahalo, A hui hou. -Steve
We ordered the steak with chimichurri, and while I usually prefer my steak medium rare, this one came out a bit more cooked than I anticipated. I think the sizzling plate contributed to that, as it continued to cook the steak after it was served. However, the flavors were still delicious, and the chimichurri added a nice fresh kick.
I also ordered the bao bao, which I absolutely loved! It was a delightful treat that complemented our meal perfectly. The loco moco was decent, but it didn’t quite stand out compared to the other dishes we tried.
Overall, Moani Island Bistro offers a vibrant atmosphere and good food, making it a fun spot to enjoy dinner while soaking in some live music. I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!
We had the fried whole fish. Pro tip – ask for chopped chili peppers in the sauce if you like it with a little kick!
There was a really fun, live band. The drinks were… well it’s a good thing we were walking back to our hotel.
The only small complaint is that the chairs were not very comfortable. That may be by design though. If the chairs were super comfortable I may have never left. lol
Service was great and I love the open air concept. Lots of tables and after 10pm, no children allowed.
Food:
Spicy Ahi Nachos
Uncle Tom’s Smoked Meat
Micah G’s Hamburger Steak
Morning Special Fried Rice
Spicy Garlic Butter Shrimp
The spicy Nachos was delicious. That was my favorite. The Hamburger Steak was a lot and tasted flavorful. The smoked meat was just ok as like the fried rice. The rice was a bit mushy. The least favorite was the shrimp. It was not spicy and lacked flavor. It was like a ciopino tomato base.
Overall, I loved the live music, ambiance and looking forward to trying other dishes.
