Moani Island Bistro and Bar is a locally owned and operated restaurant located in the Ka Makana Ali’i shopping center on the west side of Oahu. We serve local comfort food and showcase live music every night. Family and Aloha are at the foundation of everything we do. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where every customer feels as if they have been personally invited into our home. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere at Moani Island Bistro & Bar was warm, vibrant, and full of aloha spirit. The live music set the perfect tone for the evening, and the food was absolutely phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
What truly made our visit exceptional was our bartender, Anna. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the drink menu but also crafted each cocktail with precision and care. Her friendly personality, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made us feel like valued guests. Came in for happy hour, and was pleasantly surprised at the prices for most of their apps and beers. Server was great, he deserves all the praise! Food was amazing, presentation was great, portion sizes were very very generous. Honestly might come back during this trip because it was such a great experience.

Aloha! This is a very impressive little restaurant. The food is phenomenally good. I’ve been here several times and have had nearly a third of their menu items, a few more than once.
The staff is exceptionally friendly, outgoing, accommodating and efficient. There’s live entertainment nightly playing the kind of music you’d expect to hear on Oahu.
If you’re staying at the Hampton Inn, just 150 ft door to door, consider yourself lucky. I’d like to personally thank Anna and Kolton for making my visits fun, enjoyable, putting a smile on my face and taking care of every need. Mahalo, A hui hou. -Steve

We had an excellent experience for dinner on a packed Friday night. Gluten-Free family often makes ordering complicated however, they were patient and deciphered the menu for us to ensure all their dinners were appropriate. Had a mid-order… no problem, they fixed it without question. They were constantly happy and eager to be helpful. The music was great!! 2-man band killed it. Everything about this place was fantastic! Great spot to enjoy it all. Thanks and well done!!

Went here for the first time on a date and it was a whole Vibe as soon as you walk in. The food is great portion. Its is on the pricey side though. The menu was small but the food was great. The mac with smoked meat was good but could use more seasoning.The drink are also great and you can turn shots into cocktails for $2 more. I really wish I remembered my waiters name because he was for fast and nice and gave suggestions. If you get the calamari ask to have it with garlic aioli. It’s great

I think the sizzling plate contributed to that, as it continued to cook the steak after it was served. However, the flavors were still delicious, and the chimichurri added a nice fresh kick.
I also ordered the bao bao, which I absolutely loved! It was a delightful treat that complemented our meal perfectly. The loco moco was decent, but it didn’t quite stand out compared to the other dishes we tried.

What a surprise to find this place in a mall. The food flavors and portion size were huge.
There was a really fun, live band. The drinks were… well it’s a good thing we were walking back to our hotel.
The only small complaint is that the chairs were not very comfortable. That may be by design though. If the chairs were super comfortable I may have never left. lol

Great place to hangout with friends. It gets loud but it’s a fun environment with live music. I was told that there’s fights that happen here so just be careful of your surroundings.
Service was great and I love the open air concept. Lots of tables and after 10pm, no children allowed.
