Absolutely delicious ramen and a super friendly and cozy atmosphere. The tonkotsu ramen had a wonderfully deep and sophisticated broth and the shoyu base fried chicken ramen was one of the best bowls of soup I’ve ever eaten. Gyozas were perfect as well. It was pretty quiet when we came in but quickly got busy, nevertheless the staff were very attentive and took great care of us. We were just visiting town wandering around little Tokyo trying to guess the best Ramen shop in the neighborhood and I think we chose wisely.

Simply perfect. And whoever that is with the long hair and beard is also probably the kindest person I’ve ever met. The tonkatsu is simply divine, a 10, no notes, no changes. Get it spicy. Amazing prices. Don’t even think about it just eat here. Combo #6 all day.

Every time I’d come to Los Angeles with my dad for conventions, work, etc, we’d go to Mr. Ramen for a bowl of the Fried Chicken Ramen. Never did I find anywhere else that made one like it. Portions are great, prices are good, and when you’re done, you have the beautiful Little Tokyo to explore.
We were helped by Jack and the wonderfully kind woman who seated us. Jack has the BEST attitude, and I loved chatting with him about the restaurants history a bit. We had a truly amazing time, and it was wonderful to see that Mr. Ramen was not only still strong, but that their quality hadn’t dropped. My wife took home the rest of her miso ramen and is heating it up now. Wish we could come back more!
See you guys next time!

Among the best spots for ramen in LA, period. Tried curry for the first time here, damn good. Tonkotsu ramen was outstanding, noodles were the perfect texture, building itself is nice and cozy, cool drawings all over the wall, felt very authentic and community-driven, little touches like that make you enjoy the food more. Very pretty inside, very pretty and tasty food, reasonably priced, amazing ❤️❤️❤️ WILL come back!!

I came with my sister, her son, and my two sons. Had the Pork Ramen, the Fried Chicken Ramen, and one of the Bento Boxes. Even though the restaurant looks a little run down, I figured that it had to be good since it’s in Little Tokyo and they have been in business for 30 years or so. Not the best ramen I’ve had, but it was OK. The flavors were just not rich. The taste was bland. After we ate, we wondered around the main plaza in Little Tokyo and saw a couple of nicer places, similar prices, with good choices and far better looking. The next time I come, I probably won’t be coming back here. I will try to get into one of the main plaza restaurants.

Extremely slow service. Seating also took longer than it should. Food was decent but took almost 45 minutes to arrive. Servers were polite, just seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. Definitely a hole in the wall but good late night option that isn’t a chain.

The ramen was great and tasteful. The staff were pretty nice and friendly. However, we did receive the drinks before other incoming patrons, and after our ramen arrived. The gyoza came towards the end when my bf and I were full, so we didn’t get to enjoy that portion as much. Everything else was good

This place is wonderful. The food was delicious and wonderful. The interior feels comfy. There are shikishi boards and little notes with hand drawn doodle and stickers on the wall and restroom. It’s lovely to look at and I recommend stopping and getting a ramen or bento. I want to come back here

They’ve got noodles and doodles!
They have a awesome variety of Ramen and food. I’ve been the few time before. I like the fried chicken ramen. You could also draw on paper other colors pencils and crayons however you like whether you put it up in the restaurant or take it home.
