TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Very welcoming and the cashier Hailey was very helpful. She took the time to explain the menu,sauces and etc. The restaurant was very clean inside and out. The small Top Loaded Fries were served very hot! They’re so delicious and very flavorful. I highly recommend Dave’s Hot Chicken. I shall return. It’s a very nice patio area outside, so that you can enjoy the beautiful weather and great music.Thanks again Hailey for your outstanding customer service!

The fried pickles tasted like old grease, they were unexpectedly mildly spicy, zero flavor of a pickle and the batter was very crispy on the outside but still wet and undercooked next the pickle on several slices we tried. The wet batter left an unpleasant coating on our tongues. We also had 2 #3s, one mild and one hot. The coloring on the crust was the same dark brownish red for both orders, the hot had a slight heat afterwards. The chicken tasted ok but it wasn’t amazing either. Both my husband and daughter thought the kale slaw was surprisingly maybe the best part of the meal. The fries were lightly seasoned and had a nice crispness when you bit into them. I would have preferred more seasoning on the fries.
The drink station needed a bit of clean up. Tables were full when we arrived and as guests left no one from the staff was cleaning the tables so new guests just had to sit at dirty tables.

Never been to a Dave’s Hot Chicken before. We love the music! (Super Gen X friendly!) The guy who took our order was very helpful and friendly. Portions were BIG for the money. . The restaurant was CLEAN! Great experience!

Absolutely!!! The manager takes his job seriously and it shows. Staff is well trained and serves a positive customer experience. After going inside, the restaurant is well taken care of and clean. Now for the food..OH MY…the not chicken for non-meat eaters is crazy good! The chicken, of course, is amazing!! The sauce, fries, and slaw add the final touches that take the meal over the top. WELL DONE DAVE’S COLLEGE STATION!!!

So I went here for the current Fallout promo. The order was missed up and the cashier for sure was burned out/stressed out. Ended up with what I think is buffalo sauce tenders. Holy tar these are pretty spicy and good. Even through the cashier got the order wrong I think I somehow came ahead.

I always buy from this restaurant in special occasions, but this time they disappointed me… I order 2 slides with cheese and everything that always comes with them, all they gave me was this. These are NOT sliders or even a FULL sandwich for each tender. When I was placing the order over the speaker they never mentioned that the bread choice changed, or that the menu and pictures does not match what they are selling now. They either need to update everything, or this restaurant was low on supply and told no customers about it. Never coming back to Dave’s. I spent an extra $5 to get ripped off.

I had a very disappointing experience at Dave’s Kitchen. When I provided feedback about an error in my last order, the manager, Hailey, responded in a rude and aggressive manner. She informed me that she had prepared the order herself, but instead of acknowledging the mistake, she was unwilling to accept responsibility.
This interaction made it clear that customer feedback is not valued at this establishment. I submitted my concerns through their online feedback form, but only received a generic response that did not address the issue.
Based on this experience, I do not recommend this restaurant. If management responds to customers in such a dismissive and aggressive way, it raises concerns about the overall culture and what behavior staff may be encouraged to adopt.
