We love Bits! The food is spectacular, the service is heartwarming, and the decor is beautiful and cozy. The cool old house on the west side of Oly makes you feel like you’re just going over to a friend’s place for breakfast, and the owner’s presence out talking to customers and serving tables is a lovely vibe. Every menu item we’ve tried over the many visits here has been 11/10. The French toast with rotating fresh fruit compote is mouthwatering, and you can just get a slice to share for a brunch dessert, yum! The breakfast potatoes are perfection (have you seen their diverse hot sauce shelf!?) but we love the side/sunrise salad even more! Roni’s special, fresh fruit with every meal (yes, high quality and varied fruit! Like pineapple and grapefruit chunks with grapes or whatever is in season), and the Special Breakfast (goat cheese and balsamic reduction goodness) are a few favorites of ours. But don’t sleep on the “ish” vegan scramble (or regular scramble for that matter)! Fresh squeezed juices and yummy coffee/tea choices are always a delight. This place is always bumping when we arrive, but the simple and efficient paper wait list has always worked well to fit us in quickly and the staff are attentive and empathetic to wait times. High-quality ingredients and high-quality people, run don’t walk to this gem in Olympia!

Finally, we found d the time for the trek to BITS! Not that they are far, far away, but just one of those-not in the brain receptors-things. Not a bad wait, sunny skies helped lessen the feel, and it had that perfect neighborhood feel. And, oh man, any wait is worth it. The “Special” breakfast was so good and tasty. Perfectly poached eggs resting on textured greens with goat cheese. Yes. Classic breakfast was just that-Classic. Potatoes crunchy and soft, chicken apple sausage, amazing taste. And lest I forget, the beet salad is so good it should be in constant rotation. Although that means roasting beets on a consistent basis. Time consuming but what an explosion of flavor.
Get on by there and then, come on back. Your belly and soul will thank you

When first heading to the restaurant, we thought we were heading the wrong way since we were driving through a bunch of residential neighborhoods, but then we came to realize this restaurant is hidden away, nestled in a residential neighborhood.
The “house” look of this restaurant ends as soon as you walk in. Inside, the restaurant was well decorated with many plants everywhere. And it was very busy! Despite being very busy, the waitress kept coming by to check on us and seemed to always know when we needed something. We sat at the bar area which was, in my opinion, the best seats in the restaurant since it gives you a view of the cooks, hard at work.
I got the scramble with breakfast potatoes. This restaurant has the best breakfast potatoes I’ve tried so far. It was very soft on the inside, but not dry, and still perfectly crispy!! The Scramble itself was full of lots of different ingredients, which made for a tasty scrambled dish.

I’ve gotta admit, this place rocks, and is consistent for Brunch. There are citrusy cocktails and Bloody Marys with house made mixers, a small but choice menu with Benedicts on there, and little cube potatoes that are pretty decent. I’ve been here a few different times and have always just enjoyed myself.
They pull off a much higher end feel than their prices would lead you to expect, and it’s a bit hipster, like something you’d maybe find in Portland if Portland wasn’t so pretentious. 🙂
Coffee is good, the little pyrex milk glass mugs are dope, and the service is on point. They also have games and toys for the kiddos, and are super friendly. We totally feel welcome there and comfortable as Chicanos as well. We dig it as a family.

There was a bit of a wobbly start as we waited to be seated for approximately 40 minutes or so. They had given our seats to another group that came in after us. They quickly made it right, however. The wait time didn’t bother us. That’s to be expected when you have a great product! After we were seated, our server greeted us and apologized for the long wait to be served. She was very pleasant. It was a beautiful morning and we weren’t in a hurry. She told us what the specials were and we placed our orders. I had the Cubano sandwich. It was ok. I prefer a Cubano served hot. The potatoes were excellent. Best I’ve ever had! The rest of my party thoroughly enjoyed their food. My wife had the eggs benedict and one of my friends had the breakfast sandwich. The only complaint I have is that we asked two of the servers on two separate occasions for more coffee. They both told us yes and both walked away and completely forgot about us. Our server refilled our coffees once and then my wife had to go to the counter for a final refill. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. We would return if in the area again.

Fantiastic food! Like really, really good. And the owner comes to your table. She directed our kids to some board games which they had a lot of fun with, and had some great suggestions for our tastebuds. Both the eggs Benedict and veggie omelet were exceptional! Worth the wait for great food and down home atmosphere.

Fantastic all around –
Service: Excellent service, even with their dishwasher out – prompt, friendly & offered great advice on what to try. Genuinely seemed to care that we had a lovely experience.
Atmosphere: We sat at the counter and not only is the decor great with plush greenery, but the seating was comfortable. Great job using the space to bring calm, happiness, and comfort.
Food: Good lord, just incredible. One of my favorite breakfast experiences every bite was stellar. Their brioche French toast special with lemon poppyseed berry compote was simply divine – among the best French toast I’ve ever had. The special breakfast with goat cheese, balsamic reduction, eggs and spinach was rich and a delight for the taste buds. And the smoked salmon Benedict? So tasty, every bite was perfect and brought an excellent mix of flavors. I would happily eat each dish that we got regularly.
Bonus: If you’re a hot sauce lover, Bits boasts 4 shelf’s of hot sauce options! Very fun to mix and match.
+ If there’s a wait there’s bottomless coffee before you sit down and they have lovely seating inside + outside to wait at!
All in all an amazing experience. Will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my breakfast here. I got the bacon avocado Benedict with the salad. The salad was soooo good. The crispy carrot is a genius touch. The Benedict was also amazing, the egg was just the right amount of runny. Hollandaise sauce was delicious. Service was wonderful. Atmosphere is super cute. Would highly recommend.

This spot is an Olympia secret. It’s back in the neighborhood a little, but for those that know about it, it’s a delicious brunch.
I got the special shrimp and grits and it was amazing. I’d go back to get that again.
Staff were friendly and attentive. I didn’t feel rushed to get out. I’d reserve an hour and probably wouldn’t come if I was in a rush.
Atmosphere is mid century modern. It’s fresh and trendy. A little louder but not so loud you can’t hear one another.
You can bring kids here, but it’s busy, so you might want to go earlier than later.
Parking is limited but you can usually find street parking not too far away.
