Love this little neighborhood spot – great food, terrific value, nice owner…it’s a community gem! I just wish I had stopped in sooner…I could have been enjoying this food for years!
Don’t make the same mistake

The food here could have been better. We tried taquitos, a chorizo taco, carnitas taco, birria taco, and elote. The chorizo and birria taco were the highlights. The street corn flavors were good, but the corn tasted old. The taquitos were either overcooked or fried in old oil. The meat inside was dry. My carnitas taco looked amazing but was dry too. I would come back for some more birria. This could be a really cool spot. Maybe they don’t have the volume to turn food around quickly enough, hence it tasting old. I drive by here all the time and never notice it. This place could be great.

The food is mediocre at best. The taco meat tends to be dry, the flavor is bland, and the food is overpriced. The only reason I order from there is because it’s the only semi-decent Mexican spot in the area, but I’m always left disappointed.

I’ve been going here forever. The hospitality is amazing, the atmosphere is also warm and welcoming. And the tacos are even better. I could eat them every day to be honest.

Ordered two el gran burritos on line with double beef no rice. Both came with rice. Also price was different than what I was charged. I also ordered to Jamaican pies . Same thing different price on line then was I was charged.so two burritos and two Jamaican pies cost me $38.31. Have been going there for a long time but after tonight I will be looking else where. Not happy about the price change. When I called in no mention of the prices were different from what is on line.

This place is a hidden gem in Warwick. I ordered soft and hard tacos and a couple empanadas. It was all fresh and delicious. The biggest compliment of all was one of my Latin friends tasted the food and thought it was homemade instead of a restaurant. Now that’s what I call fresh and delicious

I used to eat here at least once a week when I lived in Rhode Island and it was my all time favorite. I miss this place with a passion. I highly recommend eating here, especially if you’re a picky eater who needs custom made food because they will cook it how you want it—for example, if you want black beans and cheese only in a taco, they will do it with no issues or attitude. I highly recommend eating here! Very kid friendly as well as vegetarian friendly. Miss you Papi’s!!

Truthfully I really enjoyed the place under the previous ownership when it was called “Papi’s Tacos.” It was very similar right after the transition, but now the menu has since simplified. It’s just not the same. I order a chicken quesadilla and they forgot to include the best part, sour cream. :((

Was in the area for a few days hanging by the water. I was disappointed by other top rated restaurants in the area, however, this place topped the charts! Great burritos and empanadas! Chips and salsa were good too!
