I have been going to Franks for about 3 years; it is a great meet-up spot with food for any taste. As implied by the Hoppy Bistro, they have a great selection of beers…many of which are not available in the area. If you are a Hop-Head, you may find Nirvana! They have many other styles available on-tap and in container.

You will always be entertained and the staff will go above to ensure you are taken care. Owners are present to quell any concerns that may arise.

This is a seafood restaurant, and burgers are not found. Try the many options at Franks, he sits near the jukebox if you want to say “Hi”.

I’ve been going to Frank’s for over two years and I love it. The food is consistently excellent — my go-tos are the fried ocean perch, the shrimp (grilled or fried), and the Caesar salad. What really makes Frank’s special is the welcoming atmosphere, thanks to owners Rachel and Shayne and a great staff including Lee, Maddy the photo bomber, and Jacob. The service is stellar, and they truly get to know their customers.

A few months ago, someone left a review that there’s something fishy about the trivia at Frank’s because the same people win all the time. The events are completely legit. If the same people win often, it’s because they’re good — and the high-quality events keep them coming back. I win a lot, but not every time; I left empty-handed just last night. That’s the way it is sometimes. Rachel is a fantastic host who explains the rules clearly (which includes discouraging cheating), is patient with players, and creates fun, varied questions.

I also love the wide range of trivia themes. She does music trivia from different eras/genres and dives into pop culture topics like TV, movies, etc. While I’m not into things like hair metal or “Friends”, a lot of people are and the variety draws diverse crowds.

With friendly faces, fun trivia events, and consistently great meals, Frank’s is easily one of my favorite local hangouts.

From the first time my hubs and I walked in over a year ago we felt right at home. The owners were so pleasant and the food was great. We became fast friend. Our crew grew every Thursday for Bingo! Our friends loved it and our family too. Thank you Franks for creating a family tradition. ❤️

Husband & I went to enjoy half-off pizza Tuesday & Arvon’s Breakfast Bowl beer before ringing in the New Year. Staff is always friendly, & it was fun to chat with other tables & people at the bar. The Shrimp Pesto & BBQ Chicken pizzas were FABULOUS! Jukebox had great tunes playing. The kind of atmosphere you want for a local town bar & restaurant.

Good food and drinks. What sets Frank’s apart is the warm down home hospitality. The owners and wait staff make everyone feel like a special guest in their homes. The games offered nightly are great! They add a special layer to the outstanding hospitality at Frank’s. I regularly play their music trivia, and it has given me the chance to make new friends. The theme song from Cheers is the lead in to trivia. The lyrics to that song exemplifies the “Frank’s Experience” vibe.

Casual, laid-back spot with tasty seafood and a fun atmosphere. Trivia night was a blast, and the service was top-notch. Great place to relax with friends over good food and local brews.

Can’t promise there will be a DeLorean there every time

First time here quiet little place with excellent service and food. We had the calamari appetizer to start absolutely delicious then shared the combo plate everything was excellent scallops, shrimp, cod and frog legs it was divine cooked perfect lightly breaded and with the house sauce even better. If you like seafood check this place out you will not be disappointed. Oh and the sweet potato fries with the cinnamon sauce killer!!!!

We visited on a Sunday afternoon in a party of three. The first thing we noticed was a very strong odor of varnish or paint which wasn’t very appetizing. Our server tried to be helpful by apologizing every time she answered one of our questions, but service was slow and sub-par. We really liked the scallops but they needed more draining out of the fryer. There was a lot of grease on the plate. The cod and clams were good, as was the shrimp. It would be nice if the menu offered more”create your own” combination platter options. We liked the onion rings but were surprised to learn that hush puppies were not provided with the meals and could only be ordered as an appetizer. They are sooo tiny (see photo) and I believe we paid more than $1 a piece for each of the five tiny pieces in the appetizer order. The taste did not justify the price. Overall, it seemed like a pricey “you buy we fry” place. But we liked some of the food enough to consider returning.

Came for walleye, ended up with frog legs, smelt, and fried oysters and even bought a bottle of their own sauce. Can’t believe this place was almost empty at 5:30pm. I was told by the staff that is the reason they are only open 4pm to 7pm. RIDICULOUS! This place should be packed and waiting list. I drove from Southfield to come here and will do it again.

They mostly have fried food and pizza. There was a gluten free pizza crust option. Our waitress was very friendly. The crab legs were a little under done and the coleslaw was weird and dry. The kids enjoyed their chicken and fries.
