The tomahawk was a good value and delicious. The best steak I’ve ever had! However, they are a little bit stingy with the appetizers and sides, for the price. $10 for fried pickles and it was like 1 pickle spear sliced up into pieces. It wasn’t worth $10 and was not elevated in any way to demand that price. Maybe save the labor cost of slicing a pickle spear further and just fry the whole spear and be more generous with them! A very tiny, very plain, side salad also. With iceberg lettuce! And minimal vegetables! I could fit the whole thing in 1 handful. For $12 listed on the menu. All very good food! However, I would expect it to be more elevated, or at least more of it, for the price.

Wow!! I had thee best prime rib of my life! It was seasoned very well and cooked to perfection, medium rare. The loaded potato wedges were absolutely delicious as well. I live an hour and a half away from here and will return very soon! Highly recommend!!

Atrocious quality of food for amount of money they expect you to pay. I expected more than wilted lettuce, canned corn and sour cream packets and butter spread for a 40 dollar steak meal. My girlfriend ordered a sirloin with shrimp, the shrimp was stuck together like it was super glued. All the meat is frozen and you can tell. Take the extra time to go to Texas Roadhouse where the food will be fresh and quality.

Great experience but if you want more dinner rolls you gotta pay for them. They only give you one per person!!! Prime Rib lovers you know what I mean, one is never enough. Great experience and worth the $ but really? Have to pay for more than one dinner roll? Management, think about retracting the dinner roll allowance. But will visit again, Great service , great food!

Being from Germany, we unfortunately don’t have many opportunities to come here. So, it’s been 12 years since our last visit. How can I say it? Virtually nothing has changed. The atmosphere is still homely and the steaks are still excellent. Even though we were staying in Shipshewana, IN, we drove the extra 45 minutes twice just to eat here. And we didn’t regret it. I’m curious to see if Bill’s will still be as good in 2037

I went on my birthday with family and the food (steak & crab legs) was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Waitress was very nice and attentive and the atmosphere here is layed back and pleasant. Worth the drive (I live in Indiana) and the price!!! In my opinion this is the best steakhouse I’ve ever been to. A++

We have heard about Bill’s Steakhouse from several people – one positive and one negative. We visited on a Sunday. Because it was after Valentines Day the only steak available was sirloin. I understand that so I ordered one and my wife ordered Walleye. My steak was just so so and her fish not good. When I say so so I thought I would have meat grilled. She has had better Walleye from Culver’s. I will say that my asparagus was very good and done perfectly. The rolls were stick the roof of your mouth bad so not homemade. That was disappointing. Also, as another reviewer pointed out – sour cream in a squeeze tube! I’m glad I didn’t drive the 30+ miles there for a destination meal but was just driving by from Indiana. My take away – negative. I would never recommend the restaurant to anyone. I can grill better steak at home, cheaper and with a better atmosphere. I agree with another reviewer about Texas Roadhouse which was where we wanted to go to but was in another direction and out of our way. Bottom line save your money!

This place was on list for some time and so happy we finally made the trip. Our server Ashley was helpful, attentive and very thoughtful. We tried the combo platter appetizer which had mushrooms, onion rings, green beans and mozzarella sticks. The batter was perfectly cooked. Cheese pull on point. Temperature perfect. Not too greasy.Unsure who is working the fryer here but give them a raise. House salad with French dressing and ceaser salad- both perfectly chilled, good portion and dressing was so good. For the main course we got a T-bone with grilled shrimp and a prime rib. Both cooked medium rare to perfection. The char marks on the prime rib were to die for delicious. The meat quality was some of the best I have ever had. The best part of this entire meal was the mashed potatoes and gravy. I can not begin to explain this gravy other than saying it’s better than your grandma’s. It was like a pot roast gravy and dreamy. The rolls with cinnamon butter were scrumptious as well. We went for valentines day and got a red velvet cake. Which also hands down amazing.
