Came here on a work lunch, first of all, i really like the service and atmosphere here, it feels top class.
I ordered the lunch menu, for the starter, presentation wise, it just feels not right with a big silver plate and two small pieces of chicken. The taste itself i would say is quite normal.
The main is a lamb biryani, to be honest I have never seen Indian restaurant serves a biryani like this. And the portion is just extremely small. Taste wise, they are below average.

Really friendly staff and great food. I ordered chicken tikka masala, pilau rice, cheese naan and papadums — everything was delicious and the portions were generous. Excellent balance between price and quality. Definitely my new favourite Indian place in the city, especially being so close to Monument.

The food was excellent and clearly made with care, and the service was friendly and attentive without feeling over the top. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, which made it easy to sit back and enjoy the meal. All of our meals were delicious. Overall, a great spot with a nice balance of good food, good service, and a very pleasant vibe.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Indian food in the heart of London

We had a fantastic lunch at The India Restaurant near Monument.
The food was exceptional — rich flavours, perfectly cooked dishes, and very authentic Indian cuisine.

The service was superb: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, without being intrusive.

A big plus is the short walking distance from Tower Bridge, making it an ideal stop after sightseeing.

This place was recommended to us by ChatGPT, and it turned out to be a spot-on recommendation.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for quality Indian food in central London.

We’ll definitely return.

Shah our waiter was very friendly and responsive. We enjoyed our Chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and saag paneer. Portions were just right for two grown ups and a child. None were really spicy but we are sure they would ve made them to order if that would be our thing. Butter and garlic naan were outstanding. Lighting is rather dark, atmosphere is good and you can go without smelling like the kitchen when you leave as in other places. We can strongly recommend this place and my wife who had to travel to India for years considered it very authentic.

If there is one ask for the owners/chef: Please add palak paneer to the menue!

For an Indian restaurant in London, you have to be really good to get a 5 star! And this place is definitely worth it. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Place has a nice cozy vibe. And the food is great quality. Very authentic and reasonably priced as well. We had chicken curry, cheese naan, mushroom rice and mango delight dessert. Everything was tasty except the mango delight – this was just a frozen dessert which was difficult to eat and nothing special. Other desserts were unfortunately not available. We had a discount via fork, so we’ll worth it. Reservations recommended.

One of the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted ; organic and home made, spices, meet and rice clash together to create authentic Indian dishes. Delicious and natural, the dishes are well spiced and cooked making this restaurant truly amazing. Service and waiters are really friendly and the atmosphere is the right balance between loud and quiet and the restaurant itself is beautiful and comfortable to sit in. To anyone searching top quality Indian food in London, this is what you’re looking for. Prices match the quality of food and the bill might be high (an average of £50 per person).
