Great spot for a beer and great view, nice breeze off the lake. We were here for soft opening. They had a live band , just what we were looking for.

Really good food. Everyone liked it. Was conveniently located right off the water. With parking for boats.

Honestly, this restaurant has the best ribs I’ve ever had. The fries almost taste homemade and you get so much value for your money! I loved the vibe outside and the atmosphere just feels blessed. We will be back!

Our experience was not the best, actually one of the worst. The atmosphere and setting is nice but if their service stays the same they will not be in business long. We came in for breakfast on Sunday, there was only a few people in the restaurant, not busy at all. They appeared to be well staffed, 4 ladies in the front and bar tender. There was a group on the patio and a family of 4 inside. A group of about 6 came in right before us and placed their order. We waited over an hour & 1/2 for BREAKFAST. If we would have known we would not have even placed an order as we had a 2 year old and my pregnant daughter/son in law with me. I couldn’t imagine the wait if they were actually busy and of course you pay for the food and tip before any service was received. This was the 1st place we decided to try that was on the water but we will not be back anytime soon. The price for the food and tip was also a little steep for what you receive. The Coosadilla was good though.

Amazing BBQ! The pork was smoky and tender, sides were delicious, and the staff was super friendly. Definitely my new go-to spot in Pell City!

We tried this place on Saturday. We enjoyed a beautiful view of the lake and tried several different BBQ meats on the menu. My favorite was Brisket and baked beans! We will definitely be back and highly recommended. We left just as a live musician was about to play. Have to catch him next time!

First time was great. We had the fried catfish with greens, mac and cheese and onion straws. It all was excellent. The greens were the best I have ever had – the perfect seasoning. We will definitely go back.

First, we live locally and were so excited about a Sunday brunch menu. Our food was excellent. It was ready quickly. Our Bloody Mary was on point. Can’t wait to try more of their menu.

Yall!!! NOT JUST BEST FOOD ON THE LAKE, this is the best food for miles around!! You won’t find Bbq like this in bham. Not kidding, it’s better than miss Myra‘s, Martins, Jim-n-nicks, full moon, even golden rule, and any other place you’ve eaten. This is Texas quality meat. And the prices are more than fair!!! The owners are awesome people!! Two of us had the brisket, oh my gosh, melts in your mouth. One of us had the smoked ribeye, said it was too amazing to share!! One of the kids had the wings and sucked the bones dry. The other guy had open face chicken that was finger lickin!!! The onion rings are awesome. The jalapeño cream corn is awesome. I thought the islands slaw was amazing if slaw is your thing. Mac & cheese was a big hit all the way around. We cannot wait to try the breakfast on Saturday and Sunday it’s served from 9 to 2 PM. This is honestly the best food I’ve had in a while not just on this lake but anywhere!!! Do yourself and your family a favor and eat at the Porky Pirate!!!! All that food for 5 of us had more than we could eat for @ $14/person (including tax). GO!!!!

From the start of walking into a new place with several people at the counter to assist, we found ourselves having to grab a menu to find out what was available, the menu in itself with creative wording did need some explanation, but overall we made it through the order. Don’t be fooled by all the help at the front when it comes to the tip asked at the checkout up front, there are no services provided. It is self serve. So we gladly filled our drink and proceeded with open mind to sit out near water, now if not for the great view, this would have been disappointing because there was ants everywhere on the table, as well as the swarm of flies hovering around our food once we received it was not welcoming. As for the food itself, portioning was weak, a large bbq plate had only enough meat to fit in middle of a piece of toast, which was about half as most bbq places would give, and their beans tasted like they came from a can, mac and cheese wasn’t that much better. Overall we came in with good expectations of the concept of a bbq place on the water, but my fiancée and I left for sure that we will not be returning to this place.
