What a nice place. I was there for Valentine’s Day. Sushi is the best I ever had. Delicious rolls very fresh. Drinks are very Japanese. I love everything so friendly and cozy place. Perfect for date or hungry for Japanese sushi

We came to Samurai Sushi for lunch and were pleasantly surprised! The ambiance is great — warm, inviting, and much larger inside than it looks from the outside. The service was amazing and incredibly quick. We were given complimentary edamame, which was perfectly salted and delicious.
The miso soup was thick and flavorful, and the strawberry mint lemonade was refreshing and packed with flavor. We also tried the Samurai Bites and Angry Shrimp, both of which were fantastic. I appreciated that the shrimp roll actually had a kick to it! Overall, everything from the food to the service exceeded expectations. Will definitely be back!

Update…..i often order 5 eel/avacado rolls, which are tastey… but the consistency in size of the rolls leave a lot to be desired. Some (like 11) are super tiny…. and some are normal sized…. i jist feel cheated, becuase its like 60-70$ and i split it with my fam and its like who wants to have the tiny ones…. i would order more but today is probably my last time because its not the first time. Also, they packed three rolls in one container with them sideways, which is another shortcut that makes no sense. The ginger was also not enough. If i order 5 rolls. I want 5 identical rolls that can each stand on their own.
OMG, forget going to Japan (actually don’t, you should go) this place is fun in your mouth. The sushi is so fresh. Its the best i have ever tasted in NJ!! And best delivery. I am now addicted. I had to call and give my compliments, Helena picked up and she was so delightful also. No wonder the food is so good, the people care and have high standards. The ginger was sensational. I called mid-meal and writing this before I even finished. You want amazing sushi RUN to this place, or just be lazy because its cold out and order from Uber Eats. I’ll have to make an appearance and try more.

I’ve been ordering from this place for months. But not following what the ticket says is ridiculous. I specifically asked for no avocado from my rolls. It’s stated everywhere on the ticket. I received both the rolls I bought with avocado in them. This is unacceptable. As a business you don’t know what dietary or allergy restrictions I might have to not follow what’s clearly stated on the ticket is unacceptable and quite frankly dangerous. $40 down the drain because you’re workers who prepare the food can’t follow simple direction that was clearly stated on the ticket. Also decided to not only put something I didn’t want in my roll in the first place but decided to overload it with it. Follow directions. It was clearly stated on several of the tickets. Absolutely ridiculous.

Amazing experience! Super friendly staff, very fresh sushi, and a lovely atmosphere. My daughter was thrilled with the salmon. Everything was clean and smelled fresh. The jasmine blue tea is a must-try! They even surprised us with a complimentary sushi set to take home.

Tried Samurai Sushi for the first time, and it did not disappoint! We started with the steamed buns and loved that they let us swap pork for chicken—such a nice touch for picky eaters. Then came the New York Roll, and wow… it was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. To top it off, they surprised us with complimentary miso soup, which made the experience even better. Great food, friendly service, and a cozy vibe—can’t wait to go back!

Went for a food tasting to Samurai sushi in jersey city yesterday. The ambience of the place is excellent, the service with a smile genuine, our hostess ms. Helena a pleasing personality took our orders, we got a bowl of complimentary salted baked beans first, yummy, we were all vegetarian so we ordered vegetarian Giyoza, sweet potato tempura rolls, AAC Rolls( ie., asparagus, avacado, cucumber) and for dessert we had green tea icecream. Every dish was yummy we had it with their sauces. We tasted the edible orchids too. Overall a fabulous treat. Would highly recommend this restaurant when in jersey city.
