By far, the worst “Chinese” food I’ve ever had.
The egg drop soup broth had an orange color, when it should be clear with a yellow hue. The soup had corn, peas, and carrots in it – anyone can tell you these are non-existent in egg drop soup.
I ordered the cashew chicken, a side of fried rice, and crab rangoon.
The cashew chicken was more minced garlic than anything else.
The fried rice was short grain, almost like couscous – no vegetables (they likely are what wound up in the soup), and not a HINT of sesame oil.
As far as the crab Rangoon goes – good luck finding any crab. If you love ground pepper however – this is for you!

The kind of Chinese restaurant I grew up with. Old school place mats. Lunch was a bargain! $7.99 gets you a choice of: entree, soup, fried or steamed rice, and an egg roll or crab rangoon.
They had a good crowd so service was slow.
I would also not recommend the iced tea. I traded it for a Coke.

I never leave bad reviews for anyone. But unfortunately the food was absolutely horrible quality. I had to throw away entire container of mushy tasteless fried rice. I tried the food twice to make sure im being fair. The first noodle dish was so full of sugar. The staff has such a straight face beside the Latina woman working there. Will not be coming back.

Just moved to Winterset and food makes me happy!! I called in pick up order explained I was m new. Super polite and helpful. So much food – AND IT WAS YUMMY ( thank goodness a woman needs her take out). AWESOME EXPERIENCE!! Thanks this is going to be my local go-to spot!! The pic is leftovers day after!! I ate too fast when I got it.

Has the freshest food!! You get soup and a crab rangoon or egg roll with your entree. It’s fast and friendly. My only suggestion would be to improve the interior. Has lots of choices on the menu. I got seseme chicken. It had all white meat, so I was impressed with that. Definitely will be back!

Love this place and always have, I’ve been going here since I first moved in this town and the owner has always been nice to me and my family, saved me a thousand different times when I was hungry on my way to work and always did it with a smile, the food is great and by far my favorite Chinese food in Iowa , soups, chicken, pork and beef dishes are all great I’ve tried alot of the menu and it’s always been good, I’m sorry less of you on this page are open minded but if you like good Chinese food and you come through town it’s worth a visit.
