This is a great spot for dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection. So many proteins. Cold noodles on a hot day.

This is a no-frills, plain good Japanese restaurant. The dining room was packed and most people were Asian, a good sign. They had no room for me so they opened the patio which was very basic. All the waitresses were very friendly and attentive.
The miso soup was delicious, they also brought me hot tea and water. I ordered some sashimi and garlic shrimp, it came with a salad, Tsukemono and rice. The Hamachi was really good and the garlic shrimp came sizzling in cast iron on a bed of onions.
It was a very tasty and filling meal and it was nice to sit on the patio with a breeze.

We tried kikuya for the first t8me and we loved it! We went early and walked right in, however I would make a reservation as it got crowed when we left at 630pm. Friendly fast service, excellent food, price was resealable, good size pirtions, susshi was fresh and well presented. it our new go to place! Its a winner!

What a great service to have both water and hot tea without asking to have them!!! Honestly speaking, tea was not good though. I had a lunch special box and chose a sashimi and Tonkatsu. Miso soup, green salad and Shrimp tempura were included in the special which cost about $16. I was so impressed with reasonable price and fast service. However rice or rice bowl smelled like a soap and rice was not good.

A Japanese restaurant run by non-Japanese. Simple setting. It’s likely more for local residents than tourists. So, the price was very reasonable compared with other tourism based restaurants. One dislike I had was one piece of my Sashimi platter wasn’t fresh that could be an accident.

We accepted a table outside because they were busy. Also, we were there right before 5 PM. Shrimp Tempura, unagi, miso soup, salad, we didn’t go hungry. Everything was delicious and service was excellent.

First time to Kikuya! The portion sizes are very generous and there is quite a bit of bento/teishoku-style food available.
The sushi here is pretty solid, too, and the service is quick. I had ordered the lunch box with beef teriyaki and tonkatsu. The teriyaki and tonkatsu was good, but I was very excited to see it came with a piece of super good tempura.
Highly recommend coming here, but this placed filled up quick! We arrived shortly after they opened at 11 and by 12 there was a small line to get a seat, even with the rain!

Came here for lunch on a Wednesday and got the lunch special where you can choose two items from the list. My husband chose grilled salmon and sashimi and I chose the butterfish and sashimi. I loved the hot barley tea they served with our water! Then the sweet pickled cabbage was so crunchy ❤️. Miso soup was perfect and the tempura shrimp that came with our bento was so light and crispy. Dressing in the salad was good too but just a bit too much dressing. I thot the portion of grilled butterfish was a bit small. My husbands grilled salmon was double the amount of fish that I had. Quality over quantity I guess and maybe the butterfish was a more expensive cut of fish ♀️. I would highly recommend but advise you get something other than the butterfish if you are really hungry.
