I paid $35 PEN for a ceviche Classico and $6 or $7 for a glass of chicha morada. The ceviche plate was large, but it was just okay-ish. I think it lacked some lime and possibly pepper. I can’t be sure what was missing, but it was missing definitely something.
The sweet potato was actually good, and the little breaded and fried fish thingys were also good. However, the aioli on the side was more like a watery mayo.
Overall, it was not worth it. The place was small, so you have to wait for a table, which luckily for me took about 3 minutes.
I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a great experience.

Since we saw the story of this chef in Netflix, we wanted to stop by a try the restaurant.
We recently visited this small restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was, even with a simple menu.
Every dish was well-prepared and full of flavor, showing that sometimes less really is more. The service was friendly and efficient, which made the experience even better. However, the location is extremely small, and seating is very limited, which made it a bit uncomfortable and forced us to eat rather quickly.
Overall, it’s a great spot for a quick and tasty meal, but not ideal if you’re looking to sit and relax for a while.
There is not possible to make reservations but the waiting time was less than 15 minutes for our group of 7 people, totally worth it.
Thank you for your hospitality Toshi, can’t wait to go to Lima and visit your restaurant again.
Okay, this was one of the better encounter of my Lima foodie journey. It’s a cute restaurant in an alley. There are not many seatings and they’re quite popular so.. maybe expect queueing.
What I had: ceviche pescado and a refreshing glass of chicha morado. The chicha never missed! It’s delicious! The cheviche is one of the good ones I’ve had. It came with big chunks of white fish with a very strong sour and spicy sauce. The fish was fresh and has nice texture! But since the sauce was really strong, you couldn’t really taste the fish flavour.. which was not as bad, but I kinda wish I could taste the fish better. But maybe because it’s the type of the fish they use. But again it’s good! It also came with few chunks of boiled sweet potato and kabocha.. which I thought was such a great addition to neutralise the strong and sour cheviche sauce every now and then. It also came with bits of boiled corn and the crunchy ones.. they didn’t really add significant taste but adding a nice and fun texture. The dish also served with chicharrones.. which I am assuming a fish chicharrones which were super crispy and quite flavourful. They made like thin slices of (maybe) fish, coated it with flour, and double fried it. They gave two other dips: garlicky mayo and spicy onion ones. The onion ones were kinda spicy but good! Adding it to ceviche was kinda nice if you like it a bit more spicy. Overall my meal was pretty good.. the sauce was tiny bit too salty to my liking but it’s still good. I wish they put more cilantro to it, but again that’s just preference.
They also have a combinado menu that comes with fried rice. I didn’t try it but sitting in on the bar and witnessing how the chef played with fire cooking it lol.. I could taste the wok hay even tho I wasn’t actually trying it lol. But if you like fried rice, it’s a good option.
Service was efficient and quick. Price was good. Mine costs about 43 soles with small tip. I recommend it!
TL;DR bias review, might come back for “personal” reason.
