Growing up eating Arby’s roast beef sandwiches with my parents was always a treat. Today I stopped by to check out its latest creation, Steak Nuggets. The result was not pleasant. The nuggets looked nothing like the photo at the counter. See the first two pictures in this review. The flavor tasted akin to some unimaginative BBQ sauce and yet photo looked like it was in original flavor and tender. Further, the small pieces were way overcooked and the pseudo-BBQ sauce was not good at all. Yes, they tasted as bad as the picture looked. I tried them in Arby sauce to mask the poor flavor, and that helped a little. Arby’s headquarters needs to fire the person who came up with the recipe for the Steak Nuggets. I think the idea of offering steak was a good one and it lured me to Arby’s for the first time this year. But it was pricy for 9 tiny pieces (smaller than McNuggets, if that’s even possible), at $12.99 plus tax, and it’s a good thing that no tip was needed. So very disappointed with Arby’s latest creation.

I still gave this place a 4* despite the awful steak nuggets because its roast beef has a place in my heart (or stomach in this case). I understand that all the old time fast food chains needed to revitalize themselves to stay in the game, but the steak nuggets were an utter failure.

I’ve been coming to this location for over a decade now. They’re generally fast, with orders filled correctly and food that tastes good. The deals on the Arby’s app has made them my first choice when going out for fast food. Recently, the app has stopped offering deals, both the up-to-date phone app and the website using my home computer.

Without these deals, the other fast food locations are suddenly a lot more appealing – when a meal at The Habit is suddenly less expensive than a meal at Arby’s, that’s a very easy decision.

When (if) the deals return, and the app begins working correctly again, I will happily change this review.

Parking is always super easy at this location regardless of weekends, dinner or lunchtime. After ordering, food always comes super quick. The staff is friendly, the food is hot and well made. Love their curly fries. Personally, I prefer their curly fries compared to the crinkle cut fries over at Raising Cane’s or Shake Shack.

The have done really well at keeping up with other fast food restaurants. I dare say their quality is top 3 among the rest of other fast food restaurants.

Today after work i went to Arby’s in chino hills. They have a special deal on two roast beef sandwiches. They no longer have potato cakes. Those were the best. Way better than your typical box of French fries. They also serve mello yello.

I asked for the 2 for $7 then the employee asked if I wanted them combo, I said sure to 1. Got the receipt and they charged me full price for both. Then when I was eating I noticed how thin the sandwich was. Really, I spent all that money for a few slices of meat. Pathetic.

I’ve always wondered who’s keeping Arby’s alive lol I occasionally get a craving for this place. Reminds me of my childhood. The one with cheese is always a hit and the fries are great. Maybe my mom & the older crowd is who’s keeping this alive. Which is fine with me lol
