From start to finish, this was an amazing and positive experience. Timing was on.Our waitress Kasia was so on point. She did not miss a beat.
Food was amazing. I Cannot say enough about the sauce on the chicken parm. My husband’s lasagna was very stuffed with meat and cheese.
Food was extremely good and large portions.
I highly recommend.
Great atmosphere as well.

Best meal I’ve had in a long time, my girlfriend and I got Italian salads, then she got stuffed shells and I got the penne broccoli topped in garlic, salt n pepper, and an olive oil parmesan sauce. I even finished off with the best virgin strawberry martini that I’ve ever had. The best part is that this 2 course meal with drinks came with excellent service in an inviting atmosphere for only $44. Date night made….I can’t wait to go back.

Lunch menu best deal we’ve seen in New England at this cool, family friendly spacious bar restaurant set in a former post office. See the pix! Staff are quick and very gracious, the staff even went and dug up an extension cord so we could charge our eBikes. Good comfort food with generous portions and the baked scrod with crab and shrimp breading came with a side salad, side spaghetti and side ratatouille was under $14, an unheard of good deal these days. Great beer selection too with regional breweries represented along with the undrinkable national brands. Very good apple crisp for dessert.

This restaurant is really cozy and beautiful. They have a bar side and a restaurant side (we ate on the restaurant side).
Was VERY underwhelmed with the food. We ordered two different burgers, both done medium, and the one was completely pink (as pictured). I also thought it was odd the buns weren’t toasted at all.
The staff was nice. They have a large menu selection to choose from.

We had lunch in the dining room. I had the Greek salad with grilled chicken and anchovies. Very good! My husband had the veal Parmesan and was very pleased. We both brought half our meals home. I was surprised at the prices, as the portions were so large. It usually costs more to go out, so this was great. Our server, Nick, was excellent. The whiskey bread pudding was some of the best I’ve had. We’ll be back because of the quiet and cozy atmosphere, the reasonable prices for a very good meal, and the excellent service.

We stopped in on or way to Vermont and was glad to be able to get in. We were really hungry and they fit the bill. The food was good and the service was excellent. My steak was cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the clam chowder.

Celebrated my guy’s 80th birthday with 48 friends and family members. The food was fabulous, and the service was impeccable and over-the-top. Christopher and the staff went above and beyond to make our party a very special and memorable event. Thanks to all!!

A decent restaurant with decent food, though in my view the Tavern is about the quintessential generic American nice-ish sit down restaurant. Still worth a visit if convenient.
The french onion soup was the standout dish, it is one of the best I have had, and we tend to order french onion at every restaurant that has it.
Other dishes were decent but not anything amazing. Chicken parm was typical, fish was good. The side salads were not great, some of the lettuce was wilty.
Portion sizes are pretty good and the chicken parm was quite large.
The environment inside is nice, though we were in the room without the bar both rooms seemed well decorated and pleasant. Our waitress was excellent and service was prompt.
Overall would be stuck between 3 and 4 stars perhaps, but the french onion soup was very good and made the decision easy.

Stopped in for dinner & ordered the prime rib special; really really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, somewhere between traditional old world restaurant, vintage American diner, sitcom set (beautiful architectural details with fun & quirky wholesome decor). Everyone working the bar was super nice & the locals enjoying the Super Bowl had a chill vibe. Low-key cozy energy, amber ambient lighting ✨ food was phenomenal, portions so big decided to pre split the dinner (it was massive & delicious, a must-share with mom ❣️)
