Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.

Paid over $10.00 for 3 fries they only offer one size now which was fine but we got home all of the fries were brown and Gross or double dipped and with a crusty outline of solid Grease we threw them all away and made the choice to just not eat here anymore the fries have always been a issue I do not know why we thought this visit would be any diffrent.

Food was delicious. If you haven’t visited a Runza, try the Frings. Half onion rings half French fries. This place has a drive through that goes through a real garage. Kinda different. Be careful the opposite side is a bank drive thru.

Our party of two stopped at this Nebraska-based Runza franchise facility for lunch as we were cruising through the city on another rural state highway. The restaurant is retrofitted into an old brick storefront, and the charming brickwork of the old facility is an integral part of this restaurant’s walls. Customer seating was available within and outside the building, and limited street parking was available along the vintage storefront.
There was some confusion on how to enter a basic hamburger meal into the electronic ordering system. My basic Runza sandwich was ripped open already when I unwrapped it from its paper covering, and many of my French fries were broken and quite short.
To enter the drive-through, you need to navigate to the alley at rear of the building and literally drive into the building, creating a minor safety hazard as you depart onto the sidewalk at the front of the building.

The David City Runza has its own special charm. It’s definitely a must if driving through the area. Food was fresh fast and hot. Burger, runza and wraps were all good. So we’re the rings and fries.

The place is clean. The staff has gotten nicer. The drive-thru takes a while at meal times. It also is a hard place to line up in an alley. I know costs go up, but I feel for what I pay for food at Runza I could go to a sit-down restaurant. The fries are always good. The Runza’s haven’t been as good they have been soggy. I hope they get better. I am glad you have Runza in our Community.
