Beyon saying that this was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had, this is probably one of the best meals I’ve had in the last several years. Absolutely amazing! I wish I lived closer so I have it more often, I just may have to drive an hour or more to get there every once in awhile to go again.
Delicious! Highly recommend.
The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance was vibrant yet cozy. If you love authentic Indian cuisine with amazing vegetarian options, this is the place to go. Can’t wait to come back!
**Highly recommend!** ✨
On my first visit, I ordered carryout and the food was very good. Based on that experience, I returned to dine in and brought my fiancée.
It was extremely cold outside (around 19° with a wind chill closer to 12°). We proceeded to walk towards the back of the restaurant to choose seats away from the door and front windows to avoid the cold, but were abruptly told we could not sit there and were escorted—without explanation—to a booth directly next to the door and window, as if we had no choice. (We just assumed then that the tables were for a reserved party.)
Every time the door opened, cold air poured in. We were forced to keep our coats, hats, and scarves on the entire time. Shortly after sitting down, our server told us we needed to order immediately because the cooks were about to go on their lunch break. Personally, I felt rushed and didn’t have adequate time to review the menu, which led to a hasty ordering decision.
Moments later, we noticed three cooks sitting together in a booth, with an empty booth directly behind them—one we clearly could have sat in (it was not busy, only two tables were occupied). This made it obvious the seating restriction was for staff convenience, not customer comfort. It was also concerning that the entire kitchen appeared to be on break at the same time, essentially closing the kitchen while customers were dining. In most restaurants, cooks rotate their breaks so at least one or two people remain available to prepare meals while guests are dining. And from previous reviews, it appears that a few other guests share the same grievance.
Unfortunately, this dine-in experience fell far short of our expectations. The food is good, but the service was not. We will not be dining in again. If we decide to patronize again, it will be carryout only.
This restaurant is certainly a place to visit and we will be there again soon. The standout items include:
Chilli Panner: ++
Chilli Naan: +++ (fair warning; it’s really spicy)
Chilli Chicken: +++ (spicy)
Hakka Noodles: ++
Saag Panner: +
Chicken Korma: +++
Other items we ordered were:
Alu paratha
Rice
Vegetarian Momos
Hope you enjoy this restaurant as much as I did.
