I don’t get all the negative reviews. It’s decently priced Americanized Chinese food. Aside from the tiny sad eggroll, my honey walnut prawns and crab puffs were spectacular as was their hot and sour soup. I ate lunch and dinner for $20. Is it the best Chinese food ever? No. But it’s well worth the price and filling.

The food was fresh and cooked to order. I never mind waiting when the food arrives hot. There are lots of traditional American Chinese dishes from which to choose. For our pallets it wasn’t very interesting. My 80+ year old parents loved it. The service and atmosphere were lacking but if you want to just sit and not have anyone come near your table, it works. We sat there for a long time and there were 3 tables used in total. So it is a good place to linger and talk without feeling pressure to leave. Also the portions are large.

Sorry the Uber app is being a pain and not letting me give you an accurate rating. I just ordered and the food is exactly what I have been craving for some time now! Yummy! It also seems to be hard to find combos that have lo mein so I’m happy when I find it!

I came here for a quick dinner before a meeting. I I ordered kung pao chicken. It was terrible. The rice was old, the chicken was rubbery. I ate it cause I was hungry. Never again. I can’t imagine how they have stayed in business. The wine wasn’t even very good.

I would absolutely eat here again. The food was great. Everything we had was very tasty. We came for a late lunch. It took a bit to come out which was fine as all the food was hot and fresh.

Myself & my family absolutely love this place! It has the best egg drop soup in not only Portland, but so far all of Oregon!!

I’ve been a regular customer here for about five years and the quality of food has maintained consistently delicious.

I’ve lived near this place for fifteen years. I finally went to it today. They charge the same prices as their competitors, but good gawd the food was awful. $11 for potstickers that were hard and nothing to find over.

The shrimp fried rice was the blandest I’ve ever had. The woman up front, is not a nice person. I was literally the only person in there and she was still rude. Never again!!

ill preface this by setting the scene.

its noon on a monday, there 2 people sat at a table who have already ordered.
theres no other diners or anyone in line at the counter.
the woman behind the counter doesnt seem particularly busy.

so its my first time here, just wanted to grab a quick lunch while in the area. my go-to dish is usually chicken fried rice; low risk, pretty straightforward, filling, usually cheaper than other options.

the woman sort of snapped at me asking me what i wanted. i take it with a grain of salt, cultural differences? anyway, its a restaurant so i obviously want to place a food order. she walks away from me while im mid sentence to the 2 sat diners nearby.
sort of rude, but ok maybe theyve been waiting ages.
i tell her id like a plate of chicken fried rice. i thought their online menu said $8.99, she says its $9.95. alright, $1 discrepency, not the end of the world. i pay with a card, she says itll be 10 minutes, & as i go to reach for my card back, she tosses it on the counter…
ok a bit rude, maybe shes vision challenged & didnt see my hand out, i didnt make a fuss.

i sit & wait, thinking that the soft lute music was rather soothing. that was quickly drowned out by 10 minutes of shouting coming from the kitchen. ok, maybe the cook got an order wrong earlier & the woman is keeping them in line, who knows, but its obviously important since its loud enough to fill the dining area.

finally my food is done, the woman places it on the counter, & as shes walking away says “your chicken fried rice sir”, & puts her head down to pretend to look busy a few feet away.

at this point im realizing why its empty in here at lunch.

since its apparent that im bothering them by ordering food, i say nothing & just take my plate & leave, feeling very unwelcome.

the food portion was competitive with similar places. the eggroll was puny, a little larger than a razerblade, but it was a bonus so whatever.
there were maybe 5 little pieces of chicken in the whole plate so they mustve been running out. maybe thats what the shouting was about. the rice was ok, i wouldve liked some vegetable chunks in there that you usually see in good fried rice but it was pretty bare.

i dont feel like ill be craving to come back anytime soon.

A bit overpriced for the amount of food that you got, which wasn’t much.
