Overall: 4/5.

Sea Salt is a seasonal, summer-only spot located right by Minnehaha Falls, and every summer there’s almost always a long line. The location is honestly perfect.

The menu is very seafood-focused. I personally like their sandwiches, but things like the shrimp tacos are just ok.

If you’re visiting in the summer, it’s a great place to sit under the trees, grab a beer, and share an order of crab fries. Super relaxed, very Minnesota summer vibes.

If you’re visiting Minnehaha Falls in Minnesota, Sea Salt Eatery is a must-visit spot located right next to the falls. I had the chance to try their fish fry basket, and it was absolutely delicious, crispy, fresh, and definitely worth the price.
The location adds so much to the experience. After enjoying the beauty of the falls, grabbing a flavorful seafood meal here is the perfect way to wrap up your visit. The outdoor setting and relaxed vibe make it a great place to hang out and enjoy different food options.
One suggestion for improvement: it would be better if the tables were cleaned more promptly after each group finishes, especially during busy hours. It would make the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Still, if you’re in the area, Sea Salt Eatery is definitely worth trying. Great food, unbeatable location, and a solid stop for anyone exploring the park.

Sea Salt – What a hidden gem! From the moment you step in, the casual vibe wraps around you like a warm coastal breeze. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or a spontaneous date night. But let’s talk about the star of the show: the food. Oh man, it’s next-level great. The fresh lobster? It practically melts in your mouth – buttery, tender, and bursting with ocean-fresh flavor. I could eat it every day. And don’t even get me started on the chocolate surprise dessert. The presentation alone had me swooning; it’s like a work of art that you get to devour. Rich, decadent, and utterly unforgettable – I fell head over heels.
Service here is fantastic and super personable; our server chatted with us like old friends, making recommendations that hit every mark. The pictures I snapped? They speak for themselves – vibrant, colorful dishes that look as good as they taste. If you’re craving seafood done right in a spot that feels like home, Sea Salt is your spot. Can’t wait to go back!

Not sure if I can say anything you haven’t already read or already know. Long lines with cold beer, rewarded by delicious comfort food. FYI: It is possible to eat healthy here too.. just get the mahi mahi tacos or red beans and rice.. the fish fry might be a disappointment to Wisconsinites.. very bready. The po boys are legit. Great outdoor atmosphere. Very dog friendly seating.

If you want to eat well, surrounded by nature and hearing waterfall right in the middle of the city, this is your place. I normally order the calamari tacos, but today I tried the scallop Bay tacos. They are good but next time I’ll go back to my favorite. After the meal, it’s nice to walk around and explored the trails in the middle of the dense vegetation.

Incredible food with a view! Don’t be surprised if you are waiting in line for quite a while but that’s just due to high demand – they do their best to get everyone’s orders in quickly. Definitely worth the wait. They also have a separate line for just beverages which is great if you’re not planning to eat or need a refill.

Casual fare in the lovely Minehaha Park. A big list of alcoholic beverages to choose from, including two & canned. We had the fried fish tacos & broiled mahi tacos. Each order gets to tacos. They’re made fresh & great for small plate. Free drinking water dispenser too. Lovely outdoor seating amongst the trees. The backside of the building includes a walk-up bar with indoor picnic table style seating. A great break stop after visiting the Minehaha Falls & park.

Sea Salt Eatery is the perfect spot to enjoy great food in a beautiful setting near Minnehaha Falls. I had the shrimp po’ boy and it was really good, crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. The fish tacos and fish sandwich were also tasty. Great service, relaxed vibe, and awesome outdoor seating. A great stop after exploring the falls!

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this yet, as we have been there several times over the years!
Rating it for the class (basically seafood-based pub grub). It is counter service, but someone will bring out your food to your table based on a number they give.
The various seafood tacos are great options, as well as the signature crawfish (and other seafood) po’boys! Also there are many ‘specials’ that change over time based on the seafood they get. This trip I had the softshell crab sandwich which was very good! My friend had the Cajun Ahi Po’boy and really liked it. Lots of sides to chose from! Don’t fret if the line is streaming 20-30 feet out the door as it goes pretty fast.
Lots of wine and tap options, with a healthy number of alcohol free options as well, which is great!
If you are out doing a (reasonably easy) hike, or have a celebration at park, or just there to see the Falls, this is an excellent option for a wonderful lunch or dinner and enjoy the outdoors!
