The wine pairing was chosen based on my tastes rather than the price tag, which I genuinely appreciated. Throughout the meal the service felt choreographed: attentive, perfectly timed, and intuitive, especially since they knew I was dining on a schedule. They engaged with me just the right amount and always knew how to step back to keep the evening flowing.
As a solo diner, the open kitchen was mesmerizing and gave me something engaging to focus on without feeling glued to my phone.
By the end, they had already arranged help with transportation and ensured everything was seamless. It was Michelin-level hospitality in every way — thoughtful, elegant, and deeply personal. A standout experience.
The drive from Chalong took about an hour and it was raining, but the restaurant was beautiful and welcoming once we arrived. Huge thanks to Alberto, Khun Ton, and Khun Jennifer for the warm service and thoughtful arrangements, they really made us feel comfortable the whole time.
We really enjoyed the way they presented the raw ingredients before each course, and the team did a great job introducing the dishes together with the chefs. The garden-to-table vegetables were excellent, and the non-alcoholic pairing was a lovely touch that went perfectly with the menu.
The timing between each course kept us excited to see what would come next. Not every dish was exactly to our taste, but overall it was a memorable experience — and the little birthday ice cream at the end made it extra sweet.
Much . Great welcome from the chef and their Host Jennifer . Staff were trained and driven the whole experience was an incredibly superb dinning experience. I sat on the kitchen table – was great to see the action first hand
Food was amazing and so much work gone into making those super tasty courses . The whole menu showcased outstanding skill as it’s not easy to incorporate local ingredients into the chefs philosophy but this is is a culmination of a long hard graft and honestly deserves 2 stars
Was a lot of food and over three hours and eventually my back was sore sitting there but the food took away all
My pain with the Duck and the Durian being my highlight s
Cocktails were not bad but needed work but wine experience was exceptional
Just thank you to the Pru team for this incredible dinning experience – this place is certainly worth a detour so cannot wait to come back again cheers and see ya soon
PRU is more than a restaurant — it’s an experience. Every dish is a masterclass in refinement, showcasing local ingredients elevated through months (and often years) of thoughtful development. The flavours are everything delicate and subtle to bold and inventive, making it utterly unforgettable. From the story behind each plate to the flawless execution, this was easily one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. The team behind the experience are warm, friendly and generous with their knowledge! Loved it!
The service was attentive and flawless, with immaculate timing and detailed explanation of the ingredients and preparation of each dish.
Chef Jimmy also gave us a personal tour of his kitchen and even shared the systems he puts in place to manage operations and hire talent!
The venue, with the view of the sea and rays of the setting sun was spectacular – even the artwork was mesmerizing.
Our favourite dishes were the Durian, Citrus and wild Isodon, Phuket Lobster with orange curry, and the Lotus Root! Divine!
Those savory dishes manifested the inventions how the chefs transformed them into balanced, beautifully presented, and sustainably storytelling of farm to table and committed to supporting local communities.
PRU is world-class essence of culinary, visually appealing and tasteful cuisine along the way.
Once we arrived we were welcomed by Jennifer who spoke a bit about the restaurant and what we were going to experiencing shortly. This sounded wonderful.
The menu arrived and it looked interesting. We had a choice of vegetarian or meat together with the options of wine or non alcoholic pairing. I played it safe and chose a glass of wine while my husband chose the wine pairing.
Without going into too much detail we would sum it up by saying the food is definitely interesting and not to everyone’s taste. For the meat choice there really isn’t a lot of meat in the dishes. The wine was very average.
We are both from Australia and maybe we are spoilt with choice but the wines and the food felt like it didn’t meet the high fine dining standards.
Please note that the service was impeccable.
For all the Aussies looking to experience this cuisine I’d say be prepared to have your socks knocked off. We paid ($1,500AUD) for the experience and we are glad we did it.
As the saying goes “got to try it once” and that’s probably where they get you!
An amazing wine list but careful thought is also put into the wine pairing by the very competent Sommelier team.
An indulgent experience from start to finish.
