Had a great experience at Potasia Hotpot! The restaurant is clean, spacious, and has a really nice atmosphere—perfect for dinner with friends or family.

The broth was rich and flavorful (especially the creamy soup base), and the ingredients were very fresh. The beef and seafood were high quality and nicely presented. Service was friendly and attentive, and everything came out quickly.

Definitely coming back again. Highly recommend!

We’ve been ordering malatang takeout from here for 2 years? My bro, his wife, and I alternated in picking it up. I went myself to pick up maybe 5 times for just my family alone too. We generally always order the beef malatang, fish malatang, and braised pork.

Decided to eat there for the first time with my girls. Sat down and when we were about to order, the guy asked if we’re getting beef malatang he remembered me and my usual asked for extraaaaa spicy because I wanted spicyyy. never spicy enough for me anywhere in US. Nevertheless, still delish~ But it was spicy for my 9yo that enjoys spicy. Ordered regular beef malatang a few times for takeout after forgetting to mention spice level. They’re just good in general. My kids had oranges afterwards in the back where there’s some extra side dishes and sauces you can get. I guess we can eat there in person more often in the future.

So I went here for a hot pot for my birthday. I got two hotpot’s, one spicy one not spicy, I wind up doing a surf and turf platter with a few vegetables and extra sides which fed me, my husband and my two toddlers. They have an open buffet area where you can load up and serve yourself a whole bunch of dipping sauces and salsa and all types of stuff on the side to accommodate and go with your food. The service was really nice day helped out with the kids and even gave them small traps set up that they can use my three-year-old was doing it. It was great and they loved the experience as well. Food was amazing. Service was great atmosphere was nice. Compared to the other hot pot options this one looked a little bit more upscale in my opinion whilst staying in a good price range. I think that was very important and made it even better. Definitely try.

This was my first time here and I had a great experience! The food tastes really good — both the spicy and the mild broths are flavorful and rich. The ingredients are very fresh, and the quality of the meat and vegetables is excellent. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with a great atmosphere, and the seating is comfortable. The service was friendly and the food came out quickly. For the price range, it’s definitely worth it. I’ll be coming back and recommending it to friends

A truly authentic hotpot experience.

The meat quality & soup base is good. The venue itself is elegant and transports you back to Chinese antiquity.

Well organized sauces and some complimentary side dishes.

Impressive selection of wines that include Opus One & Caymus at reasonable prices. A pint of Asahi or Sapporo draft can be had for $5.

If you are not familiar with hotpot dining. It’s a must visit because there is so much to explore. It will excite not just your taste buds but also your visual senses.

The only reason it did NOT receive 5 stars ⭐️ is because for $45 per person I can go to AYCE hotpot in Westbury…

Best hot pot in Long Island. Love the quality of the food. They have a great variety to choose from and the food is always fresh. The bubble tea drinks are surprisingly really good too. Definitely worth it for a good price.
I wish they would add hoisin sauce to their sauce bar! But they do have Lao Gan Ma which is my favorite.

First time at a hotpot, and I was impressed!
Let’s start with the atmosphere. The restaurant is nicely decorated, has a cozy feel, and was pretty clean for the most part. This could be a date spot for sure, but by no means do you have to dress up.
The service was very good. We were seated right away, and a waitress got us started with our orders. We had a couple of questions that were answered right away. There was an older couple who had a ton of questions, and the waitress literally walked them through everything. Even took them to the back to show them the sauces and extras. They were all polite, and I really can’t rave enough about them.
Now for the main event, THE FOOD! Ordering was simple, check the boxes you want, and that’s it. Any mistakes can be fixed since the waitress goes over it with you. We opted for a large, 2 soup bowl. It was tremendous in size. We actually didn’t finish it. We picked the mushroom broth and the pork leg broth. The mushroom one was light but strong and had mushrooms already cooking in it. The pork was a rich creamy white with some type of sweet fruit and corn in it. For mix in stuff, we went with a combo 1 just because it was easy. All 4 meats had strong flavor profiles, but the beef and pork belly tasted similar when cooked. The veggies and fungus cooked up very well, and the lettuce held so much broth flavor. The noodles were a pain in the butt to cook, and that’s the only thing I don’t think I’ll order again.
We did order the spicy beef tripe for an appetizer, and it was fantastic. The texture was good, not too chewy. And the flavor was so strong. Highly recommended as long as you don’t mind what it is.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I’ll come back. Next time, I’ll try a smaller lunch portion.

Nice little neighborhood hotpot spot. Was easy to get a table for 3 on a Friday night. Quality of meats is excellent, wish they stayed open past 10 but that would probably bring in a rowdier crowd. I liked the mushroom broth and can’t wait to try other flavors in the future 🙂

Love love love Potasia! We come here once every week or two and never get sick of it. The food is always amazing and fresh and the staff is quick, courteous, and attentive. The decor is also lovely and very clean. They have a large sauce bar along with some appetizer-esque dishes, the spicy shredded potato and black mushrooms are favorites! Always looking forward to our next visit!
