I go there often. They offer 5% off when you pay cash. I got a small order of spare ribs, pint of sweet n sour chicken, pint of chicken and broccoli and a pint of beef with mushrooms. Usually I also get large wonton soup and combination platter of shrimp with lobster sauce. All dishes are excellent. Here is a photo of the receipt

I ordered house special lo mien & received fried rice. When I called to complain and wanted them to comp out the lo mien I was told “you want me to take your word for it” they wanted me to bring it back as my husband was sitting down to eat. We have been ordering from them for years, but now they lost a customer.

Well, wish I would have stuck to my regular place. I ordered from them for the first time and went with my usual chicken and snow peas. I honestly thought they sent me the wrong dish of chicken with mixed vegetables. I got chicken with carrots, water chestnuts, celery, bok, snow peas. The snow peas are the absolute least amount of veggies in the dish for ordering chicken and snow peas.
I called the restaurant and said “I think you guys sent me the wrong dish. I ordered chicken with snow peas and got mixed vegetables.”
The guy who picked up the phone said “That’s how we make it, if you wanted chicken with snow peas you should have ordered it differently.”
Ordered it differently than chicken and snow peas? When I asked how I should have ordered it, he was dumb founded and could not reply.
He didn’t even offer to make it right, in anyway.
Poor food, poor food quality, with terrible customer service. I guess it would have been too much for them to just remake the dish as just chicken and snow peas as ordered.
Peking Chinese and Japanese Food is without honor, shameful. Disgrace.

Delivered wrong food, got nasty with us when we called them refusing to refund our money saying we ordered it wrong. Then multiple employees in the background got condescending saying we don’t know how to order food. Will never go back here again.

The food was good. The fried rice was my least favorite. I loved chicken with broccoli. The place is take out but has eat in potential. They have lots of restaurant supplies in big cardboard boxes in eating area, which may steer most from sitting in to eat. Maybe if they have a partition between dusty boxes with supplies and the tables laid out close to them. Back to food, eggdrop soup was good. I will try other foods if my stomach is free from negative feedback. Cash payment discount.

do not order the lobster egg foo yong and assume it will contain Lobster was chock full of fake crab and that is ridiculous to pay lobster price and get fake crab legs. I even checked the receipt and it said lobster egg foo young terrible.!

I’ve lived here about 5 years and tried a bunch of Chinese places and finally got to this one. Prices are great. Portion size great. Flavor is great. But something they do noone else does and changes everything- they take the time to cut every piece of broccoli the same small size so they cook evenly and perfectly for each bite. Glad to have tried it, wont need to shop around anymore.

I am so disappointed. Been using this place for a long time. Always order general tso chicken. The last two times the chicken was NOT CHICKEN. I don’t know what it was. It was very thin and mushed together in layers and tasted funky. First time I thought a bad batch of chicken but 2 weeks later same thing. Not saying it’s cat or racoon but will say Selden is highly known for those two animals. 100% NOT CHICKEN. DO NOT EAT HERE
