We recently placed a large catering order with Pollo Tropical, and everything was absolutely delicious! The yellow rice and the chicken were amazing—fresh, flavorful, and a huge hit with everyone at our church.

This was my first time visiting this eatery. The restaurant was clean. The front counter associate was a female and she was quite pleasant, patient and courteous. My order was up rather quick. I ordered the Tropichop bowl with brown rice, crispy chicken topped with corn and cheese. I also topped it with the cilantro garlic sauce. I ordered the platain poppers and they were ok. They have cheese inside of them. Not a fan. The value of the meal was definitely affordable in today’s economy and might I add healthy then having some other fast food restaurants. Just saying.
When I was about to leave I approached the front counter for water to takeout. The gentleman at the counter was not courteous at all. Of course it’s not against the law to be rude but good customer service is so rare these days and so it makes it much better visit when your treated fairly. However when I experience something negative and uncalled for I don’t support the business anymore.

I stopped in for lunch today and grabbed the quarter chicken and a tea. They never told me in the drive-through what the total was for the order. Then when I got to the window, they never told me either. They took my card and when I looked at my bank account. I was overcharged. I got the quarter of chicken in a tea they charge me $18. The chicken was overcooked and hard the mango sweet tea was not sweet . And the attitude at the drive thru even more disappointing!
Next time ask how much before giving your card up . And the chicken make sure is fresh

Great experience every time I come to Pollo Tropical. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the service makes it even better. I especially want to mention Yahaira, who always takes my order—she’s friendly, attentive, and makes sure everything is correct. Her great attitude really makes a difference. Highly recommend this location!

I appreciate this location/ its staff as it is the only closest one to South Tampa. I usually do a carryout order thru their app and will get a little discount. My toddler usually falls asleep while driving there so it’s really convenient to pick up the carryout order via drive thru. They give military and healthcare discounts. Thank you so much for being delicious and affordable!

Pollo Tropical never fails! It’s a must stop for us every time we are in the area! Even taking it back to NY to deliver it to family members! So with that being said the food was delicious and chicken and pulled pork was nice and moist and juicy with flavors. The sweet plantain are always a treat! This location was clean and staff was very friendly and welcoming!

I ordered a delivery meal. I ordered 1/2 dark meat chicken black beans and white rice, also side of plantains. I received 1/4 white meat dry not fresh chicken. Beans and rice taste was okay but not hot. Plantains was okay. The food use to be flavourful and delicious. I hadn’t eaten from the restaurant in years and it probably be years again before I order again. It’s sad that it’s really hard to get quality food from many restaurants and prices is up which I’ll pay for tasty food. Pollo Tropical
