My husband and I loved this place! It felt unique and I loved the quality of food it offered. I especially love that it offers to either order fresh food or you can buy frozen and make at home. The customer service was amazing too, which is a big thing for me! The family dinner is such a good price for the amount of food they give you.

We bought the family dinner fresh to go and then bought a bunch of stuff to make at home in the future. The dinner took them about 20 minutes to prepare, which felt good considering the amount of food. I can’t wait to have my parents try this place.

I was super excited about visiting POC and it took me a couple of months to make the trip. I finally arrived with a small group of friends. We all ordered an assortment of differing flavored pierogies to sample.

The first thing I noticed was an unpleasant smell coming up from the plate, and a very oily look. Everything had a very odd flavor/note that was consistent with each pierogie. We later determined that the pierogies are not boiled (which is good), but pan-fried in olive oil and butter.

For me (and my small group) the olive oil absolutely ruined the food. Butter and onions would have been great, but please no olive oil – as it ruined the flavors.

We all agreed that we would never go back.

The location is very dull but it is cool and festive inside. Maybe still worth a visit for Polish-themed gifts, etc.

I’ve been getting frozen pierogies from here for as long as I can remember. Yesterday I decided to try the chicken paprikash because I heard it’s great. I asked the employee what the size differences were, to which she showed me typical white styrofoam takeout containers (small and large squares) and I decided on the large to split between my husband and I. When she gave me the food I noticed it was not in one of those containers, but in a quart container. I wouldn’t have thought anything of it, but it was clearly smaller than the large takeout container she showed me. I brushed it off and went home anyways since I was in a bit of a hurry. I opened the container come time to eat it and I couldn’t believe it was only like 2/3 of the way full, if that! I took a picture from the side to make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me. This was hardly 2 servings and almost $13! Very disappointing. I don’t know if this is the normal serving size or container they serve it in, but it was not at all what I was expecting to get for the cost. If this is accurate, then it may be wise to go over your menu with your employees again. Showing one thing and getting something completely different, especially when specifially asked, is deceitful. I would’ve just saved my money and stuck with the frozen pierogies I usually get.

**EDIT TO ADD** I put the pierogies in the refrigerator to thaw for a few days and cooked those tonight. Not sure how long they have been in the freezer at POC but some of the edges of my pierogies are completely freezer burned.. Like rock hard, white edges even after being pan-fried in butter and onions. I had to obviously cut them off to enjoy. All in all, I think I’ll be taking a break from here for a bit now…

Not much flavor, might want to look at incorporating a drizzle on some. I like the traditional sides, toppings offered & in theory the more creative flavors of pierogis. The sour cream paired well with the cheese & potato. Melted butter saved the noodles. The kielbasa & cabbage roll were good. Favorite pierogi… Strawberry Cheesecake. The service was pleasant & the space was adequate. The polka music was a nice touch. Some signage was taped up, dated curling. A little pricey.

We stopped here on a whim for lunch- AMAZING!! I was amazed at all the flavors. We had the 6 potato and cheddar pierogi with the fried cabbage & noodles, and a small bowl of chicken paprikash & spatzel. I barely made it through 3 pierogi and half the noodles- large portions. The chicken paprikash was more bland than I would’ve liked, but still delicious (especially the spatzel). And the kolaczki- absolute PERFECTION. We tried the nut filling and apricot filling. One of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend stopping here if you love pierogi. I will definitely be back!

So I will start by telling you that I am a pierogi snob. Janka pierogies are the best I’ve ever had, but unfortunately you have to go directly to their Slavic village location to purchase them and you cannot get them in local stores anymore. So my first time trying the pierogies here I had them cooked and took them home to eat. I knew the scalloped edge was going to be an issue because it’s very thin and then ends up being crispy and crunchy and not not having a thick potato Al Dante type of texture. However, the entire pierogi is extremely thin which causes the texture to be hard to cut through and there was no thickness to the exterior of the pierogie, which in my opinion is one of the best parts. Had to give it a try but won’t be going back.

Absolutely delicious homemade pierogies. One of my two favorite probe places within 2 hours for me. So many to choose from. I had six different kinds each and every one of them had their own taste and very delicious. Very cute place inside and it was so busy at noon with people coming in and taking them to go. Definitely recommend this place

Did not disappoint!!! Maybe, I’m sheltered but I just had to inquire what is a Pierogi… Amazing flavor and texture. I had 2 taco pierogis and 1 sloppy Joe with sautéed onions plus a kielbasas sausage. When if I am in the area; I will look forward to visiting this store again.
They do have multiple coolers with a variety of different types of Pierogis that you can make at home. They also make them hot and fresh that you can eat in.

Delicious!! The inside is small but there are 3 booths and one big table for sitting. They have a huge menu and a large selection of perogies to choose from. There’s also a fridge wall full of take home perogies. I had the sundried tomato and potatoes perogies, as well as the beef and mushroom. Although extremely hot, they were delicious! I think they’re better than the Perogi Lady’s IMO. I also loved the kielbasa!
