such a wonderful bagel shop! i love how big and soft the bagels are and they have so many cream cheese flavors!! they are priced great as well. their cookies are so good too, especially the zebra one (cookies & cream flavor) the only thing i would say is that it GETS PACKED HERE!!! usually a long line but so worth the short wait

I’m a regular customer for this place,
I love the lumberjack and western bagels. But unfortunately I found a hair in my bagel… It wasn’t even just one hair. If it had been only one, I would’ve ignored it and kept eating. Since I’ve been coming here for a long time, I wasn’t going to say anything. But when I found a second hair, I couldn’t continue eating.
+ I don’t like the ventilation inside. When I step outside, the strong bagel smell sticks to me.
I hope you can fix those problems.

The staff is friendly, the vibe is nice, I go for an Americano or cold brew. They’ve got a good variety of bagels, and the portions are decent for the price. It’s a spot that young people and locals love. Their other locations are great too, and they roast their own coffee.

I go to uncommon grounds (specifically at Stuyvesant plaza) usually once a week. The bagels are consistent. It’s usually too much cream cheese that I have to ask for a schmear, (which is cheaper). And I love their iced coffee. I love their soups that are available after 11pm. And the prices are some of the best in the area. You can get a coffee and bagel for about $8.00. They also have coffee grounds you can purchase (you can ask them to grind the beans for you). If you want something like a salad, or their avocado toast (LOVEEE their avocado toast when I’m trying to eat less bagel) it is a little more $$. But overall I’m very satisfied for the service, the line moves fast even when there is a ridiculous line.
I will say I wish they had a better system for if you want to call in an order. I’ve called ahead, but you still need to wait in line to pay once you get there which defeats the purpose.

I’ve been to one of their other locations before so I knew what to expect. Parking was easy and the wait at the counter was short as they are super efficient. I ordered a pumpkin dirty chai and it came out within 2 minutes and was super tasty. Definitely recommend!

This is the best coffee/brunch spot around!! I usually get a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. Uncommon has by far the best bagels in town, they’re so big and fluffy, and they have so many flavors to choose from. Everything is priced pretty cheap too. A BEC is about $6 which is unheard of in 2025. Workers are nice and there’s plenty of seating inside to dine in. If you have never been here, you have to give them a try. I come here all the time! 11/10.

There’s a reason why there can be two locations within a mile of each other and both still be busy. Uncommon Grounds is an ideal place to get a coffee and breakfast sandwich. Their bakery items are also 10/10. I got a chocolate chip cookie once that was bigger than my hand.
Expect to take your stuff to go though. My recent visit was the first time I’ve been there and was able to sit down. If you go during a busy time, also expect a thank you next attitude from the staff. When the line is out the door, they are just trying to move everyone along that customer service can fall by the wayside sometimes.

This time, we decided to split the Lox of Love on a jalapeño cheddar bagel with the mouthwatering choco chip bagel and cream cheese, and it was absolutely delish
Uncommon Grounds is usually bustling with customers, and it’s no wonder because the bagels are fantastic! So, be prepared to wait in line for a bit sometimes. As a remote worker, I also appreciate that it’s a great option to work from; you’ll often see a bunch of people working here too.

Really great bagel, always very fresh, and occasionally good day old bagels in sale. Sandwiches are always nicely stuffed and use fresh ingredients. Really just a great local place for a solid, super quick bagel order.
