Great wine selection with prices to match the views!
Located at the 71st floor in the Wilshire Grand Center, right above the IHG lobby. Use the hotel car parking (entrance at 7th Street) and get your valet ticket (with a time limited credit validation). Elevators will bring you up to almost 1000 ft above ground. This is the tallest skyscraper on the West Coast. You are in for a treat with breathtaking views of DTLA and the megacity at day and during night.
Stylish, luxury steak and seafood restaurant with large floor to roof window fronts. Staff at the front desk, ushers, and all waiters welcoming, highly polished, very attentive and helpful. Seating at tables and at the bar. Fully accessible by wheelchair, no obstacles.
Great menu with clear indications for dietary restrictions, excellent wine list of 1200+ bottles. Good recommendations and explanations from our host(s).
The place was very busy during breakfast times. Recommendation to take a reservation if you wish to avoid a long waiting time. Reasonable time of being served after placing your order even when all tables were occupied.
All dishes from appetizers, to mains, sides, and desserts were nicely plated. Tasty, flavorful, great food.
Indeed a pinnacle of LA dining, whether while visiting or for a special celebration. Highly recommended!
My usual points & miles tip: stack your benefits / credits.
It’s a high end place, so rather expensive. Around ~$80 bill for one person breakfast (just one meal and a coffee). But it is worth it if you are here on a business trip or want to treat yourself. The staff is super friendly as well. Highly recommend if your budget affords it.
The lady in the pink suit completely ruined the interaction. Her response was, “you can get ice on your floor,” delivered with a nasty attitude. There was no courtesy, no willingness to help, and absolutely no attempt at basic customer service. After I still said “thank you,” she gave me the dirtiest look.
For what presents itself as a high-end establishment, this kind of behavior is unacceptable. If you’re going to be in the service industry, at least pretend to be pleasant. It costs nothing to be polite, and one person’s attitude can overshadow an otherwise decent visit.
The food and drinks were bad as well. The latte tasted like it only contained milk and their cappuccino was exactly the same as latte – nobody could tell the difference (I think they just gave me two lattes).
The waffle was too dense, and not crispy at all.
The omelette was okay, but it’s really hard to make a bad omelette anyway.
Can’t imagine that it’s a $50+ per person breakfast. Will NEVER NEVER come back again.
Avocado toast, omelette were good. Just expensive.
If you like a luxurious brunch with a nice view, this restaurant is for you.
