The service was extremely slow. It took about 35 minutes on drinks, and they all came out separately. One of my friends sent her drink back twice because it was watered down as if it had been sitting at the bar for a while before coming to the table. My drink took about 45 minutes, so I ordered two at a time so I wouldn’t have to wait so long. The food took over an hour. All the plates came out separately over about 30 minutes, so my table couldn’t eat together. However, it didn’t taste bad. The salmon bites were good. My friend said her wings were dry, though. The environment was nice according to your preferred taste. We went on a night where they had a live DJ playing R&B and hip hop, which was the only reason we stayed and waited so long. I liked the environment but the service needs a lot of work.

Walked in at about 6:20pm Africa got us seated and she was very nice she went and got the server I believe her name was deashia or something, she was also a sweet girl. I loved the hospitality. It got crowded quick but walk ins was able to get a table and sit for 3 hours minimum. The dj was on point with the R&B music. The strawberry margarita was kinda of sweet but it wasn’t bad after adding more ice to it. I ordered 6 hot honey garlic wings they was good. Happy hour ($.75) wings. I also ordered the salmon dinner $22 comes with two sides I choose mash potatoes which was really good and macaroni and cheese I thought was sweet. The salmon wasn’t that great so I boxed it up to eat later. I also taste my friends lemon pepper wings and salmon bites. Those were good she gave the salmon bites a 10/10. The vibe was laid back and chill. Great spot.

0.5 stars. Waited almost 40 minutes for food. I asked for water with lemon the waitress pointed at a plastic juice container filled with water and these small clear party city cups (note the party was there for about 2.5 hrs and we never got the water container refilled after it was empty). When I got my simple French toast I noticed as I was eating there was parsley cooked into it and a piece of tomato under one of my French toast. Another person at the table also had the same issue with their French toast. Sides of grits were cold, steak over cooked, shrimp & grits came on an overflowed plate with only 3 small shrimp in it. Grits were so cold the cheese barely melted. The food also was brought out at different times when most restaurants bring the entire party’s food at the same time. Also after everyone ordered food we were told they were unable to split tickets and it all has to be on the same ticket. There is also a service charge if you use a credit card to pay for your food. Overall the food was nasty and bad and everyone was not satisfied with their food. The DJ was nice though

It’s so pretty here and the food is amazing! I had Alaisha as my waitress and she was absolutely amazing and really sweet ! I had the lamp chops and grits with added shrimp , it was so good I wish I had room for more food… I would definitely come again.. and everything was at a great price.. I’m visiting from out of town and loved it here

I had a great time here! The positive vibe here was awesome as hell! Not with JUST the staff but the people in general! Everyone is having such a good time because the music is on point that it spreads smiles and kindness all around. The owner even jumped in on our groups karaoke! Lol! Plus! The drinks and food are WELL made! DEFINITELY will be back!

Horrible experience. I ordered a hookah but because my Waitress (Britt) felt like I didn’t need one because it would take too long she decided to not put the order but she had me order it as if she had put it in. I sat down at 8:30pm got my food at 9:44 and left at 11:30pm. I definitely would’ve had a hookah in time. The customer service was trash. After serving our food at 9:44pm I never seen Britt again until I had asked for a a manager and the manager was at my table assisting with my concern. The manager said she would take care of me and her way of doing so was taking $1 off my salmon and $1 off my shrimp. This has to be a joke . Never again. The food was not good but because my waitress never came back to check on me I couldn’t even address that. I think a different waitress would’ve altered my experience. It’s very small in there the tables are back to back. Very little space. Only thing was good was the DJ. The drinks were nasty as well.

First time visitor for Sunday Brunch. I ordered the salmon and grits. The salmon was overcooked….too dry for my liking. Too much sauce and it was not very tasteful. I couldn’t tell if it was a teriyaki sauce or a burbon sauce. I scraped all of the sauce off of the salmon and saw that it was indeed overcooked….charred. The grits came out stiff, basically cold with a sprinkle of cheese. As for the atmosphere, music is nice but I went for brunch. It was more of a club atmosphere at 1pm on a Sunday. I ordered a to go meal and it was forgotten. I also ordered a certain drink and it was forgotten as well. Seeing some of the other reviews and food pics, there is no consistency . Will I try it again? Probably not.
Barcode, thanks for your response. I was actually there on 1/21 for a birthday celebration. Not very long ago. Again, consistency is needed. Maybe someone in the kitchen forgot sauce was no longer used or it was just to cover up the overcooked salmon.

My party and I just left the establishment. My reservation was at 8 p.m. and they sat us right away. The place was not packed which I loved. The music gave us great vibes. My only complaint was the macaroni. I had the Bourbon Salmon, macaroni and cheese and asparagus. It was not seasoned and tasted like it was scraped from the bottom of the pan. I replaced it with the mashed potatoes. Besides that hiccup, our service was phenomenal. Our drinks were strong and the Hookah was on point too. Good times.

The food was mediocre. Sauce tasted out of the bottle. I had lamb chops and grits. Others had waffles that tasted like box waffles. Ketcha was a horrible waitress
She was not attentive. She nevr brought some items we asked for. We had to “catch” her a few times or get up to get her.
Never cleaned the table of ANYTHING. When we left the table was still covered with dirty plates, glass, partially eaten food

My first time there left a lasting impression I celebrated my 43rd bday the staff was engaging , fun and attentive. One of the managers Mesha came over to make sure the sections I reserved were staffed with an amazing server who not only got our food and drinks out quickly but she made sure we had a great time ! If you are looking for somewhere SAFE with great food , on point DJ with an inner city atmosphere then Barcode is for you !!!
