As a Tawasian, it’s convenient to have this restaurant close by. We’ve always been waited on promptly; I think their best kept secret is the pizza, as there are other places in town that I’d give a firm thumbs down. They always have some sort of specials, oft times shrimp or fish baskets. However, I do wish they were open on Mondays, seems which is some odd Tawas phenomena. Overall yummy.

We went in an hour and a half before closing with a party of 13, (we were vacationing in Tawas for Christmas). The staff were awesome they put together tables to accommodate our big family. The food was excellent. Highly recommend the pizza, burgers fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings and chicken strips. We left happy and full. Great experience altogether. Will be returning for another meal. Side note they do serve alcohol.

This place makes you feel at home with some old school comfort food. The food was great. We did have a few issues with our orders. And getting items after our food came out. They were all taken care of and handled properly. I will be back to try other items on the menu.

This place is a hidden Gem right along Highway M 23. Great service, and had that home cooked food. Everything was great the service and food. The food came out in a timely order and presented perfectly. The owners should be lucky to have Linda as this woman didn’t drop a beat. She literally didn’t stop moving the entire time we dined in. To you, Linda, keep doing you! We will definitely be back , when we are in the area.

Best service I have ever had, anywhere, Food is great and very good value for the money. They treat you like family. I always get the salad which is huge and high quality meat and cheese. My daughter got a Roast Beef Sub which was also amazing, great bread and good quality beef.

Nice people, more of a bar type atmosphere than a restaurant. The food was pretty good and the service was quick and friendly. We tried to go back on labor day but they’re closed on mondays and they made no exceptions for the holiday. Several people were pulling in as we sat there trying to figure out where we’d go from there. I think they’d be very busy today if they were open because we just had to wait in line to get into the next restaurant.
It’s rare that I give 5 stars so don’t count my rating against them, I was looking forward to going back.

The LODGE is the perfect restaurant if you are visiting the Tawas area. I have consistently had great meals there regardless of whether it was Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. Additionally, the wait staff has always been prompt and courteous. Thank you to Julie, Brie and Mariah for always delivering great food and service, I really appreciate it.
