Today was our first time visiting At the Dam Restaurant. The food was good and it was a nice atmosphere. The best part was the people. The service we received was the best service I’ve ever received while having breakfast and maybe the best service I’ve ever received at a restaurant in my life. They were kind to us, they made conversation, they were attentive, and they even intentionally made it an effort to learn our first names. We will definitely be back. I look forward to our next visit soon.

We visited for breakfast this morning and were pleasantly surprised. Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. This place really is the jewel of the town. Lots of food so much we couldn’t finish it. Meghan our waitress was wonderful and made us feel like family!

My husband and I visited At the Dam Restaurant and had an amazing breakfast experience! We tried a few breakfast items, and they were all absolutely delicious. The French toast was especially fantastic – don’t skip it, it’s the best we’ve had! Everything is made fresh by the chef, which really shines through in the quality of the food. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. Highly recommend checking this place out!

My boyfriend and I have been going here for over a year now. The staff are always wonderful. The atmosphere is so inviting. The food is amazing (they also have the best gluten free bread). This place is truly a hidden gem. Lastly there is a cool antique shop next store with amazing owners.

Had delicious corned beef and scrambled eggs. Shredded corned beef grill perfectly. Definitely not from a can. Eggs were fluffy and nicely made. My dining partner had an omelet. Could see the eggs were cared for, no scalding. Very friendly staff. Check out the wall of honor – many pictures of veterans from friends and family.

My sister and I enjoyed a great breakfast called The Mini Dam at this cute little cafe near the Broadbrook Opera House. The servers were so friendly and made you feel welcome as soon as you entered. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

Tho experience was HORRIBLE! Only reason I’m giving this 2 starts is because the THRIFT STORE NEXT STORE! The Resturant was ok, cook was super rude to his employees, treating them like they were dirt, the food wasn’t cooked to my order, and at this time
With a young child I wasnt going to stir the pot more. I am a single mother working two jobs and I’ll never allow a man to disrespect a women!! The waitresses are dolls, and they deserve so much better! Don’t eat there!!
The only reason this restaurant is still open is the thrift store! Check out the store next door! The owners are wonderful! I didn’t catch their names! But down to earth, team work, they work side by side! It’s truly a miracle that there are nice people still out in this world!

Yesterday I took my grandma over here for breakfast for the first time. We both really enjoyed the place and will be back. You definitely get the feeling of a hometown restaurant. The place is in a historic building and the place oozes with charm. I got the omlette of the day and she got the western sandwich. No complaints on flavor here! I must mention the homefiries, they were delicious. Most places these days seem to be afraid of flavor and these were perfectly seasoned. I can’t believe I haven’t been here before but will be back. Do yourself a favor and give it a try!

I came here for breakfast due to being in town for a family event and a show. I’m when I travel I hit the local restaurants to support any sort of business. Hands down it was a disappointment. If you want breakfast it’s the place to go but I promise you you won’t have the warm welcoming feeling there! I felt like also the price of the food was crazy for the amount you get. You’re charging 4.00 for a cup of coffee. Like I said I support family restaurants. There is always work that can be done! Just don’t want the next person to be disappointed
