Wow great burgers, super juicy with fancy buns! Fries and onion rings are incredible. Loved the malt, and plenty of food. Will be going here again and would recommend! The building is fantastic with nice outdoor seating and lovely container gardens. This place could rival the former 3 Foods at its peak. Unigender bathrooms are also a nice touch 🙂 my parents are often picky and they had no complaints. Prices are fair considering the quality, service was friendly!

Got the weekly special which was the Japanese Cowboy burger, chili fries and loaded fries and some fried pickles. A good selection of organic drinks too, and milkshakes, alcohol etc on offer too. Nice atmosphere with outdoor and indoor seating. The staff were very nice and you can see the kitchen which is cool. Boxes are laid out to take yourself and there’s water provided.
The burger was pretty good although the chicken was a little stiff on the top. The fries were delicious and crunchy, with some nice fresh toppings. The sweet potato fries were a little dry to me unfortunately but my fiance liked them. The fried pickles were also a little dry but the ranch it came with was nice and dilly. And the amount of stuff we got for the price was awesome! Would recommend for a casual outing.

One of the best outdoor eating locations in Arcata. That’s not to say they don’t have wonderful indoor dining as well they have high ceilings and really good ventilation. Definitely during the pandemic this is an amazing place to eat and feel very comfortable. The burgers are amazing whether you pick chicken veggie or beef. Definitely try their fries and they have an amazing selection of beers, ciders and wine. Head out to the back area and play some cornhole and sit under one of many pergolas. Excellent spot.

My husband and I visited The Burger Joint at the end of August! Our Airbnb host actually recommended it!! My husband had The Backwood and and I had the Humburger. We also shared some fried pickles! The food was yummy!! The atmosphere was great. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! I gave the restaurant a 4 star in service because it did take over 30 minutes for us to get our food. I was a little surprised by this! I would also say that the team as nice, but I didn’t experience like a warm welcome! I’m still super happy with our overall experience!! 5 stars!

Here right now. 1st time. We felt like it was way over priced for what we got. The burger was super small. Definitely can’t share here. There is no one here, and 2 people in the kitchen and it took 25 minutes to get a burger. Then my onion rings didn’t make it out for ANOTHER 10 minutes . Still hungry in arcata… Not coming back

I had a “build your own” burger(habanero cheese, Jalapeños peppers, onions and pickles), loaded cheese fries and for desert the special Orange creamsicle shake. My boys had different burgers too. All were cooked just right, juicy and tasty. The beef is advertised as grass fed. My son had the corn dog and mentioned it was tasty too. The only point to be slightly negative are the exhaust over the grill was not expelling the smoke from the grill fast enough. The restaurant smelled too strongly of cooked burgers, so did my clothes when I got home. I admit that for three people and $100, it was a tad expensive for burgers.

Make sure to ask for your burger to be medium well. The burgers I’ve had here are usually a bit dry, even smothered in cheese and ketchup/mayo (I’m a glutton for all). Also, if you’re a peculiar lass like myself, you’ll like tartar sauce on your sweet potato fries. Their tartar sauce isn’t great. Get the curly fries. There are two TVs that usually play sportsball games, but not too loud. I’ve always had fun conversations with others regarding sh*t I am naïve about with regard to these games. For instance, why is there a negative sign next to the team who has the ball? Why didn’t they make it a star so people wouldn’t think they have negative points? ….clearly valuable information insights for the NFL here. Enjoy! Dead Reckoning is next door. Bonus.

I got so excited when I saw this place does burger bowls. I ordered the juicy Lucy as a bowl, my lady a gluten free build your own and a side of fried pickles. $51 not including tip. OK I get it. Super good burger MIGHT make that price reasonable? Somehow?
We went and got our food and were so disappointed. My burger was super dry. Fried egg was way over cooked and the salad was bad. Like literally they used old, flat yellow lettuce. My girlfriend had a very similar experience of super dry meat and everything else being underwhelming.
I usually give most places a couple of tries before leaving a review, but since it feels like I already paid for a few I figured write it out now. I can’t for the life of me understand why someone would go here instead of APD or stars besides being fooled by the name. If you want to feel ripped off and still hungry, this is the place for you!

This is a well laid out Burger place. Quick service and friendly staff. That said, my friend ordered a burger medium rare, it was more like medium burnt The sweet potato fries looked amazing but were undercooked. They have beer on tap but keep in mind it’s served in a 12oz glass. For the price I would expect better attention to burger cooking. I’ll try it again but with HumBrews burgers just up the way it’s a hard sell.
