Cocktails were on point, but the food was unfortunate. The frog legs were pretty good; fried shrimp was obviously frozen. Steaks and sides were not salted or seasoned at all. My companion’s steak was woefully overcooked twice, and not worth eating. We had been looking forward to our evening there, but the food was just abysmal. Service and environment were good, at least. But for the price, this was an absolute disappointment.

Went for an event in a private dining room upstairs. The bartenders on the first floor were AMAZING! Friendly, efficient and great prices for all of the alcohol!!

The waiters were wonderful! Very professional, efficient and fun. Everyone ordered a steak. All of them were overcooked… the quality of the meat was disappointing. While the venue is iconic, the food was not what we hoped for.

A wonderful restaurant with lots of character, perfect for that special occasion. The service was outstanding and the food very good. We went with friends and family and tried several items off of the menu. They’re known for their steaks so I ordered the 20oz filet. It was good but a little on the tough side, which left me a bit disappointed as I’ve had better steak at lesser restaurants. Everything else off the menu was great. I particularly enjoyed the Irish Whiskey Cake and highly recommend giving it a try.

I was disappointed with my dining experience at Pat’s Steakhouse. My steak was not cooked to my specification and was dry. There were no juices on my plate. I saw my server only twice. To take my drink order shortly after I was seated and when he brought the check. I generously rated one star because of the atmosphere.

Pat’s Steak House is always a great meal! The staff is friendly, very informative on the menu and on the spot with what ever you need. Salad is fresh and I have loved everything on the menu that I have tried. Pat himself visits every table and speaks with eack customer while he runs the kitchen. Can’t put into words the amazing ambiance and decor. Best Restaurant in Louisville by far!

Pat’s is a Louisville fixture, that you simply must try. The food is amazing, the service is even better. I had dinner at the bar, and Walt provided amazing service and fantastic conversation. I started with a Rye Manhattan, that was perfectly prepared, for dinner I had a 8-9 oz filet cooked to medium-rare, with baked sweet potato and green beans. Normally I don’t have dessert, but you know, I couldn’t help myself and the cake I had was amazing. Just go, you won’t be disappointed.

The steaks needed some butter & seasoning at least a generous amount sea salt and fresh ground pepper. I think it’s such a shame that the prime steaks have no flavor. You guys need to add some seasoning to your steaks at least a generous amount salt and pepper. I’ve been here many times and I’m coming back with my family. I love pats I wish they would season their steaks so they don’t taste so bland. There’s some examples.

Way way way overpriced. The steaks were tender but little flavor. The sides were mediocre. The service was mediocre. Areas of the restaurant smelled musty and no where in the restaurant told me it was an upscale restaurant starting with the dirty and paint peeling entrance. The steps to the second level are dangerous – very narrow steps with a very walking area. One of our waiters had broken down black tennis shoes and pants that looked like they been worn a few times with a blazer that was way oversized. I was asked one time if I wanted a drink and not ever again. Had to walk past a small open storage area (that was dirty) to get to the ladies restroom. I dressed to be eating at an upscale restaurant and could not have been more disappointed. The music was music from the 1950’s and played at a level that made it hard to talk across the large table. How or why people eat There at those prices will remain a mystery to me as there are so many better restaurants in that price range.

It had been 13 years since I had been here since I moved back home to Michigan. I decided to come back here to celebrate my birthday. And to share with my daughter who’s 10 years old now what my first real and best steak house me and wife ever had. They didn’t disappoint! Perfectly cooked and tender like butter. I am super happy to see Pat the owner greeting and mingling guests just like he had done in the past. This place is a family business and I am super glad to see nothing has changed. Quality is the same! Pricing is still solid! Portions are not under shrinkflation! Ambiance is still classical! Hell! Pat even still looks the same! Everything was just as great as I remember. I hope to see y’all sooner next time, as my daughter has asked already when can we come back. I told her maybe we can make the 6 hour trip again each year to have a steak worthy ot the gods! If anybody wants the best damned filet! Come here! #beststeakever

We went here on a recommendation and it was ok. Service was not the quickest or best but the food was excellent. (Had to keep asking for water and bread didn’t come out until meal had been on the table for a little while.) Owner was friendly and the interior is very interesting.
