Oh my! The store was open as I was driving by. I am so happy I stopped!
They make their own chocolate and it is absolutely delicious!!!!!
By the way, the photo does not show all my purchases. I ate some before I got home!
Highly recommend!

We emailed Karen in advance to ensure she would be there since hours of operation are “by chance”. She was so kind to respond and we went by to visit. The experience was really special and enjoyable. Karen spent time talking about the chocolates, the process of making them, and giving out so many samples to try including pure hot chocolate. She really seems to love what she does and appreciate the unique qualities and flavors of each variety. It was fun to taste the subtle differences based on origin of the cocoa bean. In the end we bought a bar of chocolate, chocolate coated dried pineapple and chocolate coated dried apricot. Well worth a visit to this local store.

I love this chocolate. The bars Karen creates are delicious and the brewing chocolate is a great beverage. I feel I am really enjoying something that is good for me, the maker and the producer. That’s a good feeling. It’s worth the drive.

I’ve passed this place several times and today I decided to stop in. I met Karen and got to try several of their chocolates from various countries (she sources the raw beans, then roasts and grinds and makes the chocolate on site), and I even got to see chocolate in the making. I took home a couple of bars and will definitely be back. Charming spot, delicious chocolate, friendly folks, and made with just a few basic ingredients.

Karen makes amazing creative and bottom line just plain delicious chocolate – yesterday we tried her milk chocolates -one made with goats milk and one with buttermilk- typically I don’t do milk chocolate but using the buttermilk and goats milk give it a tang that puts this in a whole new realm and she uses a much higher cacao content -so it’s just richer and satisfying – all her dark chocolates are top tier – I really like the ginger and cherry add ins

Karen, the chocolatier, was marvelous. She reopened the shop because we phoned a few minutes after closure. She has a delicious and surprising variety of chocolate homemade goodies, such as cocoa tea, bars of various quantities and mixtures of cacao, and the best shortbread cookies ever. Well worth a visit if you are anywhere near Sperryville. Prices reflect the quality of fresh artisanal products. A gem for chocolate addicts.

Great service and really great chocolate! The chocolate is made at this location starting with the cocoa bean. It doesn’t get any more authentic. Dark, milk and many other chocolate treats. Well worth the trip or a phone call to order.
