I really want to give more stars because the family who runs it is incredible. Unfortunately, the food really was just okay. Nothing stood out as “good”. They didn’t have ice, and the restaurant was probably about 90 degrees inside, even though outside was about 70.

We order from Little Sam’s frequently and have never had an issue. Today our order arrived and not only was it wrong but also damaged. When we called the restaurant directly, they brushed it off and said we had to contact the app it was ordered through, taking no responsibility saying there was nothing they could do. I really want to give more than 2 stars because the pizza is good and we live right around the corner so it’s convenient and easy but the customer service is so bad. About a month ago I ordered delivery and after waiting for an hour I called and the store told me the third party delivery driver came to pick it up but someone had already picked it up so they figured it was me. I told them it wasn’t and they gave me a run around and kept saying “please check outside your house it’s probably there” and it wasn’t. They finally remade it and sent it out but I waited about an hour and 45 minutes for two pizzas and a salad. Then yesterday I went in for a pick up and stood at the counter for about 2 minutes while one guy sat in the back on his phone and another was making dough. When they finally looked up and saw me, the guy slowly walked over to me and didn’t even say anything, he kinda just stared at me. I told them my name for pick up and he handed me my stuff without a word. Then as I was leaving he mocked me and said my name and when I looked back he was walking away towards the back. This place would be an easy 5 stars because the pizza is really good but having shitty customer service really takes the quality down a few notches.

Upon ordering Little Sam’s I didn’t know quite what to expect at first I expected a small town little pizza shop as that’s what it’s kind of advertised very small you know didn’t expect too much upon ordering via phone call. I couldn’t have been more blown away by the service, and by the complete atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant they offer more than just pizza they have beautiful Italian dishes, which are reasonably priced for San Diego. I got our food, my wife and I and our pizzas looked to die for. The perfect amount of grease the perfect amount of crust, cheese, and toppings. It was simply layered amazing then we bit in for our first bite and saying we were blown away is quite the understatement. I definitely would recommend this place to anybody any pizza lover, or just foodie in general, where they can enjoy a nice quick bite to eat or to be honest if you just want to have a nice cheap dinner with high-quality food. Little Sam’s crew you guys did an awesome job keep up the amazing work!

Very good New York style pizza. Not greasy like many other shops. We got the $23.99 special of a two topping large pizza with 10 wings and a 2 liter coke. Our toppings were chicken and Canadian bacon and there was a good distribution since with each bite you got both. The wings were a bit small, but moist and cooked to the perfect crispness. The honey BBQ sauce was very good, with a good balance of tangy and sweet.

While I was waiting, the cook kept scratching under his pants while he talked to the person in charge. He did it multiple times while taking turns preparing the food. Pay attention to the cook’s hygiene, then order your food. It looks like he has been working there for a long time & this is a normal practice. Disgusting.
