Without a doubt the best meal I have had in my life. It’s well worth it to go for the cocktails alone, but you’d be remiss to not try as much food as possible. Especially the dry-aged Turbot and Uni Toast.
I highly recommend the tasting menu, it is an absolute adventure. I’d watched their feature on Eater so I made sure to order the dry-aged Turbot as well. Everything exceeded expectations. I’d go back for multiple dishes on their own.
Our table had no time constraints and we sat for several hours of perfectly paced dishes and lovely island wine. Best dining experience I have ever had, as some tasting menus will try to shuffle you out on a rigid schedule. Another table was in and out during our visit.
We were seated at the front of the restaurant in a little alcove. It was a beautiful experience that really did feel like we had left the city. The ambiance was delightful. You can also choose to sit in an area where the chefs are preparing the food.
It’s also worth mentioning that they have the single most beautiful bathroom I’ve ever seen.

Amazing experience. The food was delicious. It really felt like there was a lot of time and effort into providing the guest with the flavors of coastal Portugal/Spain while still being incredibly balanced. Well deserving of their 1 Michelin star. On top of the great food, the staff was extremely nice and personable and were more than happy to answer our questions as we went through the tasting. It felt very 1 on 1 as the chef was making most of our courses right in front of us. They even made us a list of all the other restaurants they would recommend in Chicago which is above and beyond expectations.

Wow, what a great place, had such a good time. Went here with my supper club and enjoyed some great dishes. Primarily seafood, including a seaweed carbonara. Really unique dishes artfully done. Maggie our waitress was really good, explaining all the dishes presented. We had all the seasonal expressions dishes, my favorite was the turbot and oysters. We met the chef at the end of the meal, what a nice man and very passionate about his food. Also had cocktails at the bar with Manny, he was great too, shaking up some really unique cocktails. We had so much fun. Would definitely go back.

Had an amazing dinner last night. Our table had the chefs tasting menu and it was incredible. If you are worried about certain ingredients, just don’t think about it and go for it. It’s amazing how each dish brings out the best flavors from each ingredient- all while complimenting each other so perfectly. The Bacalao, fire roasted oysters, uni toast, and anchovy (I normally hate anchovies) we’re my favorite dishes- the steak was the perfect way to complete the meal. The service was great and really described all of the thought/history that goes into the food (regions, locations, etc) , cocktails were top notch. Thanks for an incredible experience! Will definitely be back.

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant recently and I must say that it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles from the staff and the atmosphere was very inviting.
The food was absolutely delicious and had some very unique flavours. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. The chefs clearly have a lot of talent and passion for what they do.
The ambience of the restaurant was also very impressive. The décor was tasteful and elegant, and it created a cozy and intimate atmosphere that made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout our meal. The lighting was just right, and the music played in the background added to the overall experience.
The service was also top-notch. The wait staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

Be prepared to spend $$$$ on an amazing tasting menu that transports you to Spain. It’s a sea focused palate that doesn’t disappoint. You may have to supplement. Technically there is no wine by the glass outside of the tasting menu pairing but they can offer anything that’s opened. I loved the ambience and decor. Great service. Delicious food. It’s definitely a place to take your boo if you want to splurge and impress.

Great service and wait staff (except for one immoral item I’ll talk about later). Food was beautifully presented, however, the 10 course tasting menu left me and my wife laughing hysterically half-way through. No offense to the chef, but some of the items like the toast with sea urchin and the monkfish liver shooter made both of us want to throw up. Just tasted pretty bad. We both like seafood (granted were not super adventurous with seafood but we still try it) but some of the flavors here were extreme. We’ve been to many Michelin star restaurants all around Chicago and we left here thinking that it was a bit overpriced. The worst part is their processing fee. Do you really think people are going to carry around $600 in cash during a pandemic? I think that’s immoral. Charged us $55! If this was a charge that goes to the wait staff, that would be fine. But if this is just pure revenue to the owners, then that’s taking advantage of the patrons.

My wife and I came to Porto on our honeymoon this year, after an incredible experience here a year ago. We had the tasting menu and a few items off the main menu both times. The service and atmosphere here are amazing; the wait staff know just how much to say about each dish so that you know what you’re eating without sounding like salesmen. Not every dish lands perfectly, but the ones that do (which is the majority) easily rival the best plates I’ve had at acclaimed restaurants three times the price. On this particular trip the turbot mousse, oysters two ways, uni toast, atlantic trout, and lobster dishes were among the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. Porto is by far the best value and one of the best restaurants I’ve visited, period.

As soon as we walked into the beautifully designed restaurant our amazing experience began. Graham our main server was exceptional from the start. He explained the concept of the the restaurant and we decided to have the Porto Philosophy 7 course tasting menu. This is to get a glimpse of the chefs homage to the fishing villages in Portugal. Holy smokes! This food journey was so exceptional that we could not decide which bite was our favorite. So beautifully thoughtful in presentation and taste. All the staff were so lovely and I wish I lived in Chicago so that I can come back again soon. If you are looking for an elevated and unique dining experience look no further.

Went to Porto for date night and it just did not live up to the hype. The food looked great but the flavor and texture of most of the dishes just missed the mark. Sadly, the bread and butter was the highlight. Even the sommelier was not on his game. We were looking for a nice crispy white and what he recommended just fell flat. Definitely won’t be back. Save your money and go next door to Beatnik instead.
