We had the best afternoon at Zama.
Daya took such great care of us and made the whole experience feel easy and fun. She was attentive, kind, and on top of everything without ever hovering.

We started with margaritas, queso, and guacamole, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. You can tell they pay attention to quality. Lunch was just as good, and sitting out on the patio with the beautiful weather made it even better.
Amazing food, great service, and the perfect patio vibe. We’ll definitely be back.

It was busy when we got there on Saturday night, but they were able to seat me and my friend right away! Their server was friendly & attentive. Small queso was plenty for the 2 of us and the roasted salsa was a hit too. I loved my rice special with steak which had peppers, onions, rice topped with queso. It was delicious and I would 100% order again!

Zama Smyrna — They Not Playing With You
Look, I know Mexican restaurants in the ATL area can be hit or miss, but Zama in Smyrna?
They came to play.

Let’s start with the ceviche because it deserves its own moment. Fresh, light, well-balanced flavor — and they bring it out on dry ice so it arrives to your table like it’s making an entrance. Visually stunning and the portion size had zero complaints from me. As someone who takes food seriously, I appreciated that they didn’t compromise freshness for the theatrics. Both were on point.

The tacos are loaded and built right — good protein, good tortilla, good balance. The spread across the table speaks for itself. Rice, beans, and sides all came correct.
Now about those margaritas… let’s just say they are properly stocked with liquor. Two will get you right. You’ve been warned. In the best way possible.

The space is clean, warm, and has a good energy to it — the kind of spot you bring someone you’re trying to impress without overthinking it.

Zama is the real deal. Will definitely be back, but I’m pacing myself on those margaritas this time.

I love the first time customer greetings that I received on my visit! Food was very fresh and had much flavor. Can’t wait to return to try something new. My service was top notch. See ya soon.

Zama is a Mexican restaurant that will bring you to Cobb County.
Nestled in a development with other restaurants, Starbucks and a Five Guys, Zama stands out as the anchor.
Zama is not your run of the mill “hot plate” Mexican restaurant.
They are working hard to attract Mexican fare foodies to Cobb County.
The service is cheerful, swift but not overbearing.
The menu is expansive and requires a bit of time to go over all of the different dishes. Broken out into categories the menu offers you many options from traditional all the way to the standard three taco plate favorites.
The chips and salsa are addicting.
Go ahead and add Zama to your favorites and put it on your rotation for some of the best Mexican food in Cobb County.

We arrived close to closing time on Sunday night, but they seated us immediately, which we really appreciated! Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

The small queso was more than enough for the two of us, and the roasted salsa was a standout. For our entrée, we ordered the Texas Fajitas Deluxe, and it did not disappoint! It came with grilled skirt steak, chicken, and shrimp served over a bed of bell peppers, onions, roasted corn, squash, and pineapple. On the side were Mexican rice, Mexi-beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole, crema, and warm tortillas.

Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. We would absolutely order this again — 100% recommend!

The food was pretty darn descent here! I would suggest getting there early as we waited quite a wait for a table. It’s rather loud inside so not the place for a meeting but certainly a place for great vibes and catching up with friends over a drink and some food!

This place is amazing! The food is super delicious and the service is beyond amazing! Our server Jonathan made the experience unforgettable! He made sure we were well served and had a lovely attitude the whole time. We tried the chicharron guac, asada tacos, birria quesadilla (our fave) and the steak skillet. This is our new favorite Mexican spot!

This was our first time and dinner was very good! I loved the fresh fruit drink and my carnitas! My husband loved his salmon. Patricio was our server and he was very kind, funny and attentive to our table. Oh.. I almost forgot to mention the Mexican street corn!!!! I loved it and there wasn’t a bite of it left on our plate. All in all we will be back the next time we are back in Georgia!

Our first visit. We were seated shortly after arriving at the Hostess station. Our server was very good. Our order was filled relatively fast. The food was tasty and hot upon arrival at the table. I did find it odd that only fountain drinks were refilled; iced teas are usually included.

Prior to departure, we had an opportunity to speak with “Rosalio,” the Hospitality Mgr. He provided us with a complimentary dessert and also a voucher for an appetizer to enjoy on our next visit. I promised that we would be returning.
