Cascadia Pizza – 5 stars, hands down one of the best pizza experiences I’ve had
Just had the pleasure of trying Cascadia Pizza, and I’m still thinking about it. Everything is wood-fired, and you can taste the difference immediately. That perfect leopard-spotted crust is crunchy on the bottom and outside, yet soft, airy, and warm in the middle – exactly how great Neapolitan-style pizza should be.
I went with a pepperoni & sausage pie first, and holy cow… I’ve never seen a pizza more loaded with pepperoni. The cup-and-char pepperoni was everywhere – they clearly weren’t stingy. You literally couldn’t fit another slice on there if you tried. The sausage was flavorful and juicy, and the sauce was light, bright, and perfectly balanced – not heavy or overly sweet like a lot of places.
My wife tried the Hawaiian (I know, fight me) and it was phenomenal. The pineapple was sweet and juicy without being syrupy, the ham was good quality Canadian bacon, and the wood-fired char tied it all together. My daughter had their veggie (Sounder) – fresh green peppers, mushrooms, olives, and red onions that actually tasted like they were cut that day. Everything pops.
Random bonus points: their lemon water is the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant – bright, fresh, and actually tastes like real lemons. Service was fast and super friendly, but never felt rushed even though the place was busy.
And a small thing that says a lot: the women’s restroom was spotless and stocked with free feminine products. You just don’t see that kind of thoughtfulness very often.
Cascadia isn’t playing around. If you’re anywhere near here and love real wood-fired pizza, do yourself a favor and go. I’m already planning my next visit. there’s also a rooftop dining if you’re in the mood for an outdoor vibe.

EDIT: Following a poor experience, a customer service representative named Emily showed a lot of care and attention to us, and helped us get a refund and a free dinner to give them a second chance. After a second visit, ordering our pizza “extra crispy” we were much happier with our experience. It was still on the flexible side which is not our preference, but the flavors were really good and we could see ourselves returning once in a while for the flavor combinations alone. This time we ordered the cowboy and the butcher. Crust aside the cowboy is insanely good.

Original – It’s a really nice building, I enjoyed how much parking space was available and there were more than enough tables, for a Sunday evening anyway. This was our first time here, they are currently only serving personal sized pizzas because of a recent kitchen fire. The prices are a little confusing at first, at a glance the menu shows a picture of a pizza with its description, and two prices. It doesn’t specify that $12 is for a personal 10” pizza or that $16 is for a 14” pizza, which could be helpful. People typically want to be certain of the price of their food before ordering. Well, anyway $32 later we get the most floppy pizza I have ever seen. We ordered the Evergreen with a customization for garlic base instead of red sauce, and a Buckley. They accidentally made the Evergreen with red sauce and were nice enough to remake it. The service and atmosphere were honestly fine. But the food was terrible. The toppings on the Buckley just slid right off the moment you tried to lift it, I mean this stuff was folding in half with the weight of gravity to the point of being comical. This was more akin to a hot tortilla, than a hot piece of pizza. I’m not sure if it has to do with the kitchen fire, potentially the oven is not heating properly, but it was a very bad dinner. :((

Amazing amazing pizza! Saw this place as a food truck, but went to the brick & mortar restaurant. Pizza came out in a decent amount of time and was delish! I wish there were gluten free pizza options available (I didn’t see any? I could be wrong). Herbs, parm, and red pepper on the table.

Pizza was delicious! A small pizza was plenty for me to have leftovers to take home. Others at my table had salads that looked amazing. Servers were super friendly, but we did have to wait a bit to get our drinks. Going in the evening, parking was easy. Atmosphere was chill. I will be back to branch out and try some of the more unique pizzas they have on their menu.

Today, my wife, 2 year old, and father in law decided to try Cascadia for lunch. Food was very solid, the service was exceptional. Our child spilled an entire large beverage on one of our pizzas right after it was served. The staff noticed instantly, came to help clean, replaced the pizza without question, and offered us a desert on the house. They turned us from being frustrated and embarrassed, to thankful we chose to dine with them. We will be back and will recommend it to anyone.

This was extremely disappointing for a pizza place. We ordered a pick up on Sunday 1/4 at around 630pm. When we opened the boxes we were disappointed in lack of representation of the photos we saw. They looked nothing like the photos. Decided to taste them anyway annnnnd…. The gluten free crust tasted like cardboard. And the ingredients look like they were just thrown together. Not to mention they were small pizzas and we ordered 2 small salads… but $80 freaking dollars?! Come on! We went ahead with the order and ate it because we were in the middle of working late and starving but we’ll never come back. We miss Basil & Board. This place is ridiculous. Don’t waste your time or money. Way better pizza places that offer gluten free options in town…. BOO

$29 (large) pizza needed sauce. The sausage and cheese on the pizza was flavorful, but the crust was bland. We love wood fired pizza and if the crust was better, it would be an higher rating. Our pizza was the Evergreen. This is an order your food and beer and bring it to your table style restaurant. If you need a refill, you have to get up and go re-order. Not sure why the tip jar is there if there is no table service. Young lady taking orders was not old enough to serve beer so she had to call someone from the kitchen. When the pizza was delivered, we didn’t have place settings because I guess we forgot to grab them ourselves. This is not my favorite style of service so I doubt I’ll be back, but if you don’t mind that style, maybe not a big deal for you. The ladies were nice but I gave three stars because they had hair to their waist and was not tied back. The vibe is different from of our favorite local pizza place. No serious complaints, just not impressed enough to go back if the pizza (for that price) isn’t fantastic.

Came for lunch on a weekday with my wife and toddler. Food was brought out less than 10min from ordering, which is fantastic when eating with a toddler. The wood fired pizza appeared slightly more burnt than I would like, but surprisingly the crust was still nice and soft. I’ve had other wood fired pizzas and some times the crusts get too hard when over baked. Cascadia Pizza Co. is a nice upgrade from basil and board, but they did keep their popular items like the Picasso salad, which we ordered and delicious as we remembered. The Nona pizza was a favorite, love the ricotta dollops and hot honey drizzle. The margherita pizza could have used more cheese. We also got the s’mores pizza for dessert and it was a nice way to end our lunch. Will definitely be back to try more pizzas and the wings!!

Cascadia Pizza Co. is a fantastic spot if you’re in the mood for some delicious, wood-fired pizza. Their menu features a variety of creative and classic pizza options, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The crust is perfectly crispy, and they offer a great selection of toppings. We had the pepperoni which was so delicious filled with pepperoni. The Cesar salad was definitely a must shared it with friends. They even have dessert pizza! The s’more pizza dessert has a perfect sweetness and the apple pizza is amazing with fresh apples. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to hang out with friends or family. Plus, their staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Overall, Cascadia Pizza Co. is definitely worth a visit if you’re a pizza lover!

Some of the best pizzas I have ever had!!!!
The Nona was the winner of the 4 I tried. (Peperoni, Mike’s hot honey, ricotta cheese, and basil) If you visit Salem, you have to stop here and check it out.
