Today my cousin and I went to The Hub food truck park in Pharr and headed straight to Nino’s Nuevo Latino!
The owner, Gerardo, is awesome. Super nice and friendly guy. We had the corn ribs, diablitos (dates stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in candied bacon) & the Cubano.
The corn ribs were juicy and smoky. Very flavorful and tasty. The dates were sweet and savory. The flavors were balanced, none of them overpowered each other. Then, we had the Cuban sandwich. The pork was tender and juicy, the bread was perfectly toasted, soft, and buttery. It came with a side of patatas (potatoes) and salsa brava. 10/10 would definitely recommend and I’ll be back to try everything else on the menu. I wanted to try the Cubano sandwich, but they were sold out so I went for the fried chicken… it was incredible… the breading on the chicken was delicious and even then it fell short to the moist meat… the flavor resonated through the whole piece of chicken not just in the breading 11/10 from me
