The sides and sauces are worth praise. Can’t help but recommend the sweet corn bites and garlic fries with their mango habanero sauce and spicy ranch . Sadly for a chicken place their chicken left a lot to be desired. I got the chicken fingers and it was under seasoned and crusted in the texture of soggy cornflakes that fell off before most bites. Very disappointing when the sweet corn nuggets had phenomenal breading.

My favorite chicken spot in Linn County. By far the best in quality, taste, flavor. About time, albany got a new chicken spot, which I know everyone will love. They carry a variety of sauces, dry rubs & dips. The menu Is perfect for what they offer. They carry a little bit of everything.

We were excited l to try this new food cart but were very disappointed. Food was OK- chicken was large breast pieces, bigger than normal tenders but with very light batter that was not really enough to be crispy and resulted in fairly dry, chewy meat. Fried pickles were sliced rounds in a thick cornmeal coating that would have been great on spears but was too thick for the small thin rounds. Sweet potato fries were awesome but since they put the food fresh from the fryer in Styrofoam containers, the Styrofoam had melted spots and it shriveled the lid of the sauce in the pickles container. We didn’t use that sauce and picked out the fries touching the top and bottom. The chicken was put on a paper liner, but not the sides. These are basic food safety issues, so the hunt for fried chicken continues.

I came on here to see if I was the only one that complained about the chicken fingers. While I believe it is largely because of the awful industrial chicken processing from Sysco, but seeing how the reviews are old standing and consistently bad, they don’t seem to car to improve the quality to protect their bottom line. It is stringy and who knows what kind of chemicals it’s been stuffed with. Even my 9 yr old said the chicken was “sus”. The batter was light and tasteless to boot. I feel sick to my stomach.

oh my goodness this is officially the best fried chicken in Albany. Fresh, seasoned perfectly, wonderful sauces, and not at all greasy. Serious crunch on these babies! Check em out!

Love this place! Favorite chicken strips in town. Just dropped on and Hannah and Nick were super nice and helped me make my sauce choices. They have a variety of sauces, many that I haven’t seen elsewhere. One of em is pink. Highly recommend the house southern and sweet chili!

Tried the chicken finger basket with mac and two sauces. Also ordered a side of garlic fries to try. Everything was delicious. Chicken pieces were large, moist and perfectly breaded. The garlic fries – stupid good. How do you Know that you have put enough garlic on something… It seeps out your pores for days. LOL Try this food truck out at the Barn. You won’t be disappointed.

I enjoy eating at the Chicken Shack, but I must come during the worst times because food waits seem to be 20-40 mins consistently. However, I always enjoy the wraps and their garlic fries. I feel they are fairly priced and food is always fresh. Service is pretty brief, but I find myself having to ask about their wait times prior to ordering or when I go out in a group at the Barn others will have their food and be ready to leave and 40 mins later I’ll still be waiting. Sometimes, totally worth the wait though.

Welp, I did want wings but don’t really trust people to make my food that are comfortable enough to sleep on the job then wakes up and uses his hand to wipe drool off his face.
