My friend and I had a wonderful lunch at Maria Mediterranean today. We arrived around 2:15 pm and stayed for a couple of hours. The restaurant has plenty of seating — tables for 2, 4, and 6, plus bar seating. Some tables were taken, but it was not crowded at all, which made for a very relaxed experience. For drinks, I had a Dubai Chocolate Martini, and my friend enjoyed a Margarita. We shared appetizers — fried calamari and stuffed portobello. The calamari portion was very generous, easily enough for two people to share, tender and perfectly cooked. The portobello was one large mushroom, flavorful and nicely prepared.
For entrées, I ordered bifteki (pork, beef, and lamb ground with herbs) and lemon potatoes, and my friend had chicken souvlaki, also with lemon potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious – the meat was juicy, the potatoes were flavorful, and overall the food was excellent. Coffee is very affordable at $3 with unlimited refills, and they bring cream and sugar/milk on the side, which was a nice touch. We finished by sharing vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup for dessert.
Our server Marco was amazing – attentive without hovering and always there right when we needed him. The music was quiet and pleasant, allowing us to comfortably enjoy our conversation. The restaurant is also beautifully decorated for Christmas, which added to the cozy atmosphere.
Parking can be a bit tricky since there’s no parking directly on Bell Boulevard, but I was able to find a spot on a side street behind the church across the road.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience – delicious food, great service, and a calm, welcoming environment. I would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Me and my wife suddenly wanted to try Mediterranean food in bayside, ny, and I found this local family owned and operated restaurant, the owner was super friendly and greeted us with smile and a little chat before taken us to the table. We ordered whole red snapper, beef on skewers and stuffed clams, all seafood was delicious and fresh, it’s like just out of the sea.

This is a long overdue review for Maria’s Mediterranean — and it is so well deserved.
I’ve ordered catering twice for family gatherings, and both experiences were exceptional from beginning to end. From the very first phone call to discuss the menu, the team was warm, patient, and incredibly helpful in guiding me through the options. They really listened and made thoughtful recommendations that fit our group perfectly.
The setup at the venue was seamless and professional, and most importantly — the food was a true crowd pleaser. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Guests kept going back for seconds and asking where the food was from!
If you’re looking for reliable, flavorful Mediterranean catering that makes hosting feel easy and stress-free, Maria’s Mediterranean delivers. I’ll definitely be ordering again. Thank you!

Consistently Amazing!

We have dined here twice now, and each experience has been fantastic. The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The [lamb shank,chicken staffs] is a must-try! Rob was an excellent server .The atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed meal, and the service is attentive and friendly. I’ll definitely be back!
Now this is one of my favourite restaurants.

The experience was great overall. Great atmosphere, dim lights, excellent service and they were well dressed. All the customers were spaced out to our liking. The only downside was the overuse of lemon in the entree dishes. It took away from the great taste of the entree dishes. Still a go to spot to eat at, but the lemon, whether it was juiced or seasoning, was too much to enjoy the full flavors of the dishes.

Amazing food and amazing service! All the staff were so friendly and attentive! The complimentary pita bread was amazing! I highly recommend the chicken souvlaki as an entree and the blueberry baklava as a desert! The French fries that came with the chicken souvlaki were so tasty and the white sauce was so good! The baklava was out of this world! Best desert I ever had!

This place took me to the Mediterranean. The staff was quality. Saki and Maria were gracious and kind. The staff works hard here. The drinks blew our minds. Know they self cocktail and better late than never were insanely good. Both I will definitely order again. They have gluten free options too. The dips and chips blew my mind. Fried pita with quality dips. Best thing i ate this month. Yhe stuffed baked clam and crab cake were fresh. The lemon potatoes are insanely good. Memorable. The meat platter is massive. The stewards and chicken yummy over perfectly seasoned fries. The lukomad stuffed with cheesecake devine. Best I’ve had. The blueberry baklava was the best dessert of the year.

The atmosphere at the restaurant was fantastic. As soon as we were seated, we were promptly offered water. However, we had to wait quite a while before our server came back to take our order, which was a bit frustrating.

We started with the octopus for appetizers, which was excellent. Unfortunately, the fried calamari was a bit too oily for our liking. Moving on to our main course, we tried the chicken kebab and beef, both of which were absolutely amazing.

But the real star of the show was the dessert. The blueberry baklava with tahini ice cream was beyond words. It was truly a delightful way to end the meal.
