My friends and I were in the area around lunch time yesterday and didn’t wish to wait 30-40 minutes at one of the establishments in the heart of town. We were looking for a place to get a nice soup, salad or sandwich and Harvest House seemed like the place to go. We are glad we did!
I enjoyed the soup and quiche lunch combo. The soup of the day was beef barley — it was tasty and thick, almost a stew. I was initially unsure of the veggie quiche because it lacked the loft of the ones I usually eat, but it was so full of flavor that I quickly dismissed any reservations! It was almost more like a veggie tart but SO DELICIOUS. We were also lucky enough to dine on a day when the Brazilian pineapple pudding was on the dessert menu. We were happy to have included it with our lunch!

One of the best chicken salads I have ever had. As someone who grew up on half sweet teas, I have to say that their iced tea is phenomenal! Many places add way too much sweet tea to the mix but this place had a good ratio. I definitely recommend going here for lunch if you are in the area.

Restaurant was very nice atmosphere had good music playing, our waitress Melissa was very helpful and friendly. We got our food out in a timely manner. Got the Big Cheese burger with chips was delicious. And for desert tried Chocolate Pecan Pie for the time was amazing 10/10 would have again.

The food was good and the place was clean though my table was a bit dirty. The restroom was spacious and clean and the dining room had plenty of seating.
For a Friday night it was almost empty, which was strange because almost every restaurant I past was full and had people waiting.
The time it took to get two appetizers was a bit lengthy but overall things were ok.

Love this place, looks like a sort of hole in the wall, but the chef works with fresh local sourced produce & meats. I tried to take a picture of my plate, but my phone died. They offer surprisingly good wines also!
Update: yesterday for lunch, it was a pimento cheese extravaganza! Shared pimento cheese fries (think bacon, carmelized onions, balsamic reduction.) And then the pimento cheese fried green tomatoes tower. Amy got the Wipeout Salad , brie, pineapple an other goodies over spinach. So good!

Great find in Landrum. Small family run restaurant. I had the Aussie burger. It was outstanding and a real bargain, if you are used to paying the prices in Greenville, SC. Will be back! For dinner they serve steak and fish. Still can get sandwiches. Can’t wait to come for dinner. We split the handmade chocolate pecan pie. It good.

Excellent food and great service. I ordered the fried green tomato tower which was fantastic, then a cup of crab bisque that was rich and tasty. For my main course I had shrimp and grits, which was amazing. We got the 30 minutes before closing and we waited another 15 for our other friend to get there. They we very accommodating.

Our 2nd visit here, but we sat outside this time because the day was just so beautiful. Started out with Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer and went from there. Food was as good this time as it was the 1st visit. We even had a large watermelon for desert. (Hahaha. JK)
Update: Prices have gone up a good bit. Food was still good.

Terrible all around. My sister and I were the only ones dining in at the time of our visit today. (Maybe that should have clued us in?)

The menu says “hand cut” fries and they clearly were not. Got the pimento cheese fries as an appetizer and they were awful and greasy.

I ordered the ham, cheddar and apple quiche for my main dish. It was literally COLD in the middle. Green salad that came with was just lettuce mix, thrown on the plate, no dressing at all.

Waitress never checked back and when we asked for the check and neither of us touched barely any of our food, the waitress didn’t even ask. She just cleared the plates without a word.

I cannot recommend this place, nor will we come back.

It was all good. Beef Tips with mash and collards, The Big Cheese Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, and Duck Bruschetta. Don’t bother trying to eat the burger with your hands. It is a wonderful mess. Ditch the bread and go fork and knife. Desserts were Banana Pudding and Pecan Chocolate pie to go. Service was fantastic.
