Man out here scamming people with these prices compared to other Mediterranean and Middle Eastern carts that sell the same food.

Better off going to nearby spots like Shish Kabab or Gyro King.

Ex. $9 side of potatoes. That’s man’s ego + inflation + the overpricing of Troudale Food Carts at play.

Was hankering for a gyro sandwich, and being gluten free, was excited to see in big letters “make any sandwich gluten free by substituting rice or salad” for the bread. That’s how I ordered it and the young boy told me I was asking for a plate. I told him no, I was asking for rice instead of bread as the menu stated. Instead of $12 I paid $18 and the meat came over rice with a dab of tzatziki sauce, a little hummus, and a tiny side salad. I went back up asking for it to be like the gyro, with tomatoes, onions, and more sauce. The lady was willing to (attempt to) fix it. She added a few slices of onion and a bit more sauce. Ahhh well. After asking how would I order t it next time to get it as they advertised it and for the $12 sandwich price. The young boy said I can’t– what I got was a plate and there is no $12 plate. Said not his fault as he didn’t write the menu and walked away. Won’t eat there again due to his rudeness. I come to the Troutdale Station often enough. Just make what you offer, please. Or change how it’s written. Thanks.

Great place. Everytime I’ve came, never had a problem. This time got the chicken shawarma with grape leaves. I would like the leaves to be warmed up, but that’s not a big deal. The meat taste grate to me and it is loaded with sauce. I love the hot sauce and always ask for some on the side. The guy is really nice too, always friendly. Hard not to go to this card.

I had the Kafta for lunch, it was generously portioned and delicious. As I headed back inside to find a drink, I saw a guy carry a container of sliced watermelon to a nearby table and asked where he found it. He directed me back to the cart where, on asking, was told that they were out. Disappointing, but not a big deal, that kind of thing happens in the real world. The guy inside asked where I was headed, I told him inside to join my group at a table. A few minutes later he walked up to our group with a container of cold sliced watermelon and a big smile. He certainly did not need to do that, but it was a consideration that I won’t soon forget.

I think a name like “Yesterday’s Lamb Scraps” would be more appropriate- if you’re gonna be a mediterranean place with a lamb gyro on the menu. at least do a good job on a core item.

$18 for such small and very skinny beef kabobs that were a little overcooked left me disappointed and still hungry.
The hummus was outstanding and the salad was good.

My opinion is that you shouldn’t buy meat dishes. I took the most expensive dish – lamb shishkebab.. the lamb meat was overcooked.. it felt like it had been fried several times before.. the meat was dry.. and not tasty… it surprised and upset me because I had been here twice before.. and I liked it.. but now I won’t buy anything from them.. that’s for sure..

Real, freshly made rice, garlic sauce, and humus. the best humus I’ve tried! The rice doesn’t look prepackaged. Tastes like they make it daily.
