Everyone has had a bad restaurant experience and we know it happens from time to time, but the way to avoid that is to act like you’re genuinely sorry that it’s occurring. What you don’t do is take an hour and a half to bring a drink order, and then still charge full price for said drinks. And spilling them as you set them on the table. One is willing to look past terrible food and under staffing with good customer service. Alas, Fortun really delivered the trifecta. Bad reviews are really the outliers, I’m sure, but hopefully a reminder to the management that patrons don’t appreciate paying full price for an undeniably terrible dining experience.

Food was good and well prepared. That’s the good news. Service was terrible. Wine came at the end of the meal instead of the beginning, the food was not delivered as ordered and fragmented. There were not enough staff and poor organization of the staff to be effective. Won’t return.

Wow. Went to an afterparty at Fortun’s. They had great cocktails. But the beef tallow French fries stole the show. You got try those. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Food is great, and they have a huge bar, must be 50 feet long. Great place for food and drinks.

I went with my family to celebrate my brother’s inlaws 50 year anniversary. The staff was very professional and nice and the food was so so so good. I highly recommend this place! I know the owner Sandy and although she couldn’t be there she set up very nicely! Thank you Sandy!

Our group of six enjoyed a delicious dinner at Fortun’s. The rotisserie chicken is super moist and tasty (best that my friend had ever tasted!) , and the brisket burnt ends appetizer were addicting; crispy crunchy on the outside, tender in the middle. Service was friendly and very accommodating. Check out the ice bar!

We had very tasty pizza and salads! Our server was polite and super friendly! We were told the wait would be 30 mins but they managed to get us a table in about 20 mins…on a crazy busy night in Old Town La Quinta. Our party were all really pleased and impressed with our experience here! We will be back!

We were excited to go to Fortun’s Kitchen for their Chop Chop salad which we have usually had and most of the time thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately we were very disappointed and felt ripped off. We ordered the happy hour Chop Chop salad which was $13.95 on the menu. Our first disappointment was the salad we were presented. It is supposed to have cheese, pepperoni and salami. It contained mostly lettuce and fewer than a handful of those other items. It was basically a side salad that would usually be priced about $7.00. The real surprise was when we received the check. We were charged for the dinner priced Chop Chop salad at $23.95. Feeling totally ripped off at this point we asked our server about the order and he made an adjustment to the check. Watch out.

Dog friendly – outdoor patio

I was fortunate enough to give this restaurant a try with a bunch of friends, with that being said you already know its “family style,” food that is meant to be shared. The ambience is beautiful, wasn’t sure why the 6 of us were seated in a booth rather than a flat top or even a round table, the location was in the far back corner, it was a bit odd but it worked out.

Ordered
Chop Chop (GF) – cousin to the antipasti, had all the same ingredients 5/5
Caprese Salad – Tomatoes, Fresh Burrata, pesto, balsamic, Evoo served with garlic bread. 5/5
Delicious burrata, paired well with the pesto, balsamic, evoo!
Sweet Fennel Sausage and Pep Pizza – meaty and delish 5/5
Fig and Prosciutto Pizza – My fav dish, the saltiness of the prosciutto pairs well with the sweetness of the fig 5/5

Our experience here was rather disappointing. The food was okay, although a couple of the items that we tried were better. But for the higher prices, we were quite underwhelmed.
