Located off McHenry street and in the area around Germantown Mill Lofts is Hop Atomica. This distillery and, brewery, and makes its drinks on site. They make their own gin, vodka, tequila and rum. They have a lovely outdoor area when you arrive. If you decide to sit inside, you can sit anywhere you like as long as it not reserved. There are QR codes on the tables that have the menu. We’ve sat at the bar and that was our favorite part. There’s a great list of draft beers available. We tried out a few beers. I was most impressed with the sour options. Most recently I got the peaches and cream sour and it was lovely. The one I got in the summer had a lovely salted rim. Each time I’ve found a new seasonal drink to have. We also tried out a few appetizers. The beer cheese and pretzel is amazing. It’s hot beer cheese which has a wonderful flavor to it. It’s made with their own beer. The next appetizer we tried was the whipped feta which was also lovely. If you have a bigger appetite you can get a pizza. It’s so tasty. When you aren’t enjoying your food, you can take a look at the aesthetic which is gorgeous. They have included gold in the decorations which I really love. The silverware is gold. The drafts are gold as well. There are also 2 rooms you can reserve or have a small group in which really makes the space lovely. Hop Atomica is a great vibe and I enjoy being able to go. I’ll be back to have another seasonal sour soon.

Paul an his team offered great service. We loved ordering from the QR code or the bar. The new world Gin is great, first gin I’ve liked so we bought a bottle! Food was great, we got a pizza, garlic bread sticks, and the caesar salad. All the food was prepped well! The garlic sauce is amazing!

We had a large party (10) and was able to make a reservation for the back room. It was the perfect setting, especially with 2 young kids. They had space to run around and 2 doors to close off for privacy/security. The owner was not only present, but very helpful, social, and a great host. The bartender, Aidan, was quick to welcome us and take care of us from beginning to end. Beyond the staff, the food was incredible. We had the plain jane, figgy pig and soprano pizzas, plus the dry rub Korean and hot honey smoked wings. AMAZING! Next time I’d love to visit when it’s warmer and sit out on the patio. Thanks for a great night!

Will definitely be back! The Mom Walk of Louisville had a mom’s night out in the back room, and it was such a great time! Comfy, intimate space with couches and chair. Great beer and cocktails, too many to choose just one! Food was delicioussss! After cheesy bread, charcuterie, and pizza, we opted for two of the Reece’s dessert pizza — 10/10! The bacon added this crazy twist. Couldn’t get enough. Service was top notch, shoutout to our Jacob!

Great find amongst a city full of restaurants. Plenty of parking which is a premium in Louisville. Our wood fired pizza, fig & pig, was amazing. Yep, couldn’t fishing the last slice but sure wanted to. It was raining so we didn’t get to enjoy their large outdoor patio area. We will be back.

Hop Atomica was a great choice for a Saturday midday outing with great food options and a variety of beer choices. I’m a huge sour fan which is hard to find places that offer them first yet alone craft multiple variations with different development processes. We had the beer cheese and pretzel which was fantastic. Nice and crispy outside with soft inside for the pretzel. The beer cheese was decent but didn’t have much flavor.
We also ordered the turkey sandwich which was fantastic. The turkey was a great flavor and the aioli included was amazing too.
We ordered a beer flight and had the strawberry milkshake, we’re not in Kansas anymore, a water melon and prickly pear flavor, and a blueberry wheat beer. They were all fantastic but the smoothie style beer should be avoided not because it was bad but it doesn’t represent a great flavor for the consistency.

They have good pizza. We also order a turkey sandwich which was very good and a beer flight. The beer selection was good. We like all the ones we tried. Will stop by again when I’m in the area. A must try for a pizza and beer lover.

I had the absolute best time at Hot Atomica and it was all thanks to the incredible bartender Aidan. From the moment I sat down, the hospitality was off the charts.. genuine, welcoming, and so on point!
And the espresso martinis? Next level. Truly some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly crafted, balanced, and totally unforgettable. You can tell there’s real skill and passion behind the bar.
The whole experience was so amazing that I already know I’ll be coming back again and again. When someone can make a night feel that special, it’s worth returning for every time.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Hop Atomica, and it was fantastic! We reserved their private room, which provided a perfect cozy and comfortable space for our family and friends. The service was truly outstanding. The staff was attentive and diligent with every single order, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The food and drinks selection were great and delicious. Overall, it was a memorable celebration, and I highly recommend Hop Atomica for any special occasion!
