This is truly a hidden gem on Main Street, Sayreville. The front of the restaurant features an ice cream parlor, so the real Thai restaurant is very easily overlooked. There’s a rear entrance directly into the restaurant from the side street. This was our first time ordering takeout from here. Amazingly wonderful food. We ordered the Red Curry and the Thai Grill and I never have tasted such delicious Thai food ever before!!!! It’s a cozy little place to actually sit down and eat. Among all the Thai restaurants in the surrounding area, I will rate this a 5*, A++++ Next time we plan to actually sit down and have a meal at the restaurant, rather than take out. Highly recommend.

I usually order carry-out from Truly Thai and everything is always excellent. The food is hot, fresh and packed really well. From the basil fried rice to the pad kee mao to the pad rad prik to the curries, it’s always full of flavor and just the right spice level. Pickup is quick and easy and the staff is anyways friendly. Great experience….. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

Fantastic food and amazing service. I would highly recommend, especially for vegetarians. This is the second time we came here, and both times the food was amazing. We ordered Tom yum soup, spring rolls, red curry, flat rice noodles (pad Kee mao), and a chili tamarind sauté (pad ped ma kam). All of them were amazing and would highly recommend all of them. The service was fantastic too. The waiter was really nice and helpful and as vegetarians knew exactly what we needed. We tried the ice cream too and it was delicious.

Truly Thai Restaurant was truly good in all aspects. From the service to the atmosphere to the delicious food, it was just amazing. The timing of our visit was dinner time and the food came out quick. The restaurant was still busy between in person patrons and people who were picking up the orders. The restaurant staff were very friendly and courteous and helpful in explaining anything that we had any questions about. By the time we were done eating, I felt like eating more delicious food but my stomach was like “nope, no more.”. Make sure to try it out for yourself and hope you have a great time.

Authentic and delicious Thai food, and amazing service.
We tried papaya salad and drunken noodles, both with vegetarian option. They were perfectly seasoned and tasted great. We ended with their dessert special – fried cheesecake and apple with vanilla ice cream. It was out of this world. This is a small, unassuming Thai restaurant which makes amazing food. Highly recommend!

I happened to discover Truly Thai restaurant by chance, and fortunately, it turned out to be a Thai restaurant with many delicious dishes. The menu is quite diverse, offering a wide range of options. The prices are reasonable, and if you pay by credit card, a small fee will be added to your bill. What I like most about this place is the enthusiasm of the staff. They fulfilled all our requests in the shortest time possible. Parking space is somewhat limited, but it’s not too difficult to find a spot.
The dishes I found delicious: Moo Ping, Pad See Ew, Fish Cake, and the two desserts I ordered (Fried Ice Cream, Mango Sticky Rice) were also quite good.

We eat a lot of Asian food, including Thai, but today was our first time here.We went all out and ordered four different lunch specials plus Tom Yum soup and spring rolls, both EXCELLENT. The Tom Yum was the best I’ve ever tasted. For the lunch specials, we ordered Pad Prik Khing, Pad Kee Mao, Cashew chicken and the barbeque special.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered Pad Kee Mao, but it’s A LOT. Well this was THE BEST I’ve ever had also!!!!!
That said I can’t even tell you which dish I liked the best because they were all SO AMAZING!!! The flavors were fresh, flavorful and intense… in a word… PERFECT.
The wait staff were personable, accommodating and attentive.
The restaurant itself isn’t “elegant”, but the booths are comfortable and it’s clean. Honestly the food and service MORE than make up for that. I’ve rather have great food and THAT it WAS.
We will most DEFINITELY be back!
