I found this place on “Only in Your State” . Featured for the state of Louisiana, the state of LA was #18 on that list.
So my husband didn’t know it, we were planning a day out…no plans, but he was driving me from Orange Texas to try their food, he just wasn’t aware of it until we got there.
I’m so glad we drove that far!
The burgers were so good, get what you want put on them, many toppings to choose from. The loaded fries were delicious, and the atmosphere was like you were at home.
Definitely coming back next month when we will be in the area again ❣️
A plus.
Bonus the owner, on site, and he was super friendly

Had the Philly steak cheese sandwich and some onion rings. The onion rings had no taste, the Philly State cheese sandwich was alright at best. The food was not worth the price I paid for it.

This was our first time eating here. We stopped by on a Saturday for a quick bite as we were heading back home. Before we went into the restaurant itself I stopped to use the restroom and wash my hands which is located on the outside of the building. The first thing I noticed was how yucky the bathroom and toilet was. It didn’t make for a nice first impression to be perfectly honest. The cold water was also broken on the bathroom faucet which wasn’t a big deal until I realized that the hot water temperature was so hot that I could barely tolerate the steaming hot water touching my hands (this is coming from someone that my kids say has “mom hands” because I wash out home dishes in such hot temperatures. I have to wonder how the staff is properly washing their hands. The food itself was okay-nothing special. I got the burger and fries. It was under seasoned and bland. My hubby for the freto pie. He said the chili had a decent taste but nothing special about it. The food was reasonably priced. If ever in the area again, we will skip this place.

The coolest part about this place is that you can customize everything on the menu! I got a Skinny burger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, banana peppers, cheddar cheese, mayo and mustard, on Texas Toast. Friggin killer!! My wife got the Skinny with lettuce, tomato, jalapeno, grilled onions and mushrooms, mayo, mustard, and ketchup, on a Hawaiian bun. Knocked it out the park!! We split an order of Fat Boy Fries with everything and extra spicy ranch (made in house!) that were just to die for. Gigantic chunks of fresh bacon! We will absolutely be back!

The burger was more than delicious. I got the Alligator Sausage plain & it was delicious but next time I would get like their hotdogs w/ all the trimmings, but most likely would just go for the burger! It was perfect! The staff is friendly, helpful and courteous without being pushy. The restaurant is like in an old filling station & the bathroom is outside. It’s dated and you can tell but will being going again for the food!

Definitely a small town treasure here. Vintage gas station outfitted serving burger just like old times. The burger and fries were absolutely delicious. Coming back again! Love this place!

Best burgers in Leesville!! I’m not going to lie. I was impressed and surprised by how big and delicious their burgers are. I have moved around 5 times, and I have been in the search for a good burgers spot, and I finally found the spot. You won’t be disappointed.

Well, yet another total fail on a burger. I would bet no person here has any actual culinary experience. The burger was grey, soaking wet, and lacked any discernable seasonong. It was not burger juicy, just wet like it came out of a water bucket. It was as if it was steamed or boiled. In my humble opinion I think that they are pre-cooking burgers and then just reheating them to serve them. Pure laziness and no pride whatsoever. When I sent it back saying it was grey and that it was cold and soaking wet, they took the burger I had already taken a bite out of and put it back on the griddle (so they said) and steamed it longer. They just returned the same burger soaking wet even more, and of course, by that time, the bun was a soggy as a wet rag. Any decent restaurant would have remade the burger. If you’re traveling through, just bypass this place. I think I have found the front runner for the worst burger I’ve ever had.

Must visit! If you’re looking for a fabulous lunch in Leesville, this is your place. Fresh burgers, hand cut fries and homemade milkshakes! You can build your burger how you want it with tons of options for toppings and sauces. I loved everything I got and would definitely return if I was going to be in town longer. The retro gas station look and inside decor is so cute! The employees were super friendly, helpful and welcoming.

My experience here was nothing like I expected. It was hot inside, our burgers were cold and dry! The patty may have been made from real ground beef, but was definitely not freshly cooked. The fact that everything, down to a piece of lettuce, costs extra, is ridiculous. The homemade fries were good. They were fresh. Overall, maybe 1 star, and won’t be recommended by me to anyone.
