Ate here the other day with my mom and friend and we absolutely loved it! I got the coconut shrimp and elotes and they were both great. Our waiter was also very kind and attentive. The atmosphere is super fun and the restaurant is decorated super cute. We need more places like this!! I hope to eat here again soon when the weather is better and we can sit outside, they have a great patio with a nice view. Definitely recommend!

This place I visited with my friends and we were delighted with the food and service. There is a big variety of different dishes, everyone could find what he wants. I would definitely recommend the red snapper tacos – light choice, but still wouldn’t let you hungry. The portions is big, more than any adult needs by my humble opinion. The server was friendly and welcoming. The service was fast, no complaints at all.

Great food. Fun atmosphere. We had a group of 12 and the waitresses kept up with us.
We met our family up there another time and the kids loved feeding the ducks (they sell special food for the ducks). It gave the kids something to do while waiting on the food. We love eating outside on the patio. Great place. Lots of fun things for the kids to sit on out front too but they change it up from time to time so not always the same stuff. This time there was a boat and my grandson loved it.

The Red Snapper grilled fish tacos were very good. I would recommend. I also ordered the cup of Jambalaya which was mostly white rice, soup with two shrimp, two sausages, and shredded chicken. I would not I order again. Very blan. My wife ordered the Huli Huli Chicken Hawaiian which was large platter of white rice two small reheated grilled chicken breasts, cheese, Mango salsa, room temperature plantains. The entire plate was not made fresh. The black beans were also room temperature and had a bad taste. I also tried the beans and they were horrible. Waiter said they keep warm water on grill and stir water in beans pot before serving. She would not recommend.

Found this place on the Dallas Love List They always highlight unique spots to dine.

We were definitely very fond of this place. What did it for us was the outdoor seating atmosphere and happy hour cocktails. The food was good but nothing special or standoutish.

Flour tortillas tasted fresh and homemade. Sadly the fajitas for two only came out with a single portion of beans and rice.

If you live in Dallas, it’s quite a far drive but if you enjoy drinking to a beautiful scenic lake view, then it’s worth it. It’s a solid date night or group night. But go during happy hour. Not worth it imo if you go outside of that time. There are plenty of other choices.

UPDATE! Visit Thurs., June 2024 dinner. They have really cleaned up the atmosphere by getting rid of the broken toys/boats. It feels cleaner and fresher with less. We still enjoyed the drinks and food. The stuffed avocado was cooked differently, but so delicious. The fish tacos were huge!!!! My husband couldn’t even eat them all. The wait was long, and they forgot my drink. But my server Dominick was excellent!!! It has been a long time since I’ve been waited on by somebody who takes pride in what they are doing.

OG REVIEW: Fun, funky atmosphere. Good drinks, really good food too! I always get the chicken stuffed avocado! Love it. We also had the fish sandwich, but it’s odd that they have no tartar sauce. It didn’t have ANY sauce on it. Don’t recommend unless you request something to put on it. We like the little cars outside for the kids and you can walk the pier/dock and that’s nice to kill time while you wait for a table.

This is a great local restaurant that has recently (within the last year) come under new ownership. The Polynesian elements have been downplayed (no more pineapple in the salads), but the menu is great and varied, leaning towards a Cali-Mex themed approach. They’ve begun more vegetarian options, too, which is great. Good food (good-sized portions, too) fun bar, and great kitschy vibe – one of my favorite places.

This place is located lakeside with nice theme and a very good ambience. It has a bar, indoor and outdoor dine in space. With a very big hall and seating for events. Has a decent menu. Kawakini stuffed avocado is good. Drinks are too light and queso is average. Toll house pie is excellent. Overall would recommend to try this place.

I give it two stars for location atmosphere. Being right on the lake this place could be a GEM ! But alas – it is not ! The bartender brought me chips and salsa – the salsa was watery finely diced tomatoes and onions. It was free – no big deal. I chose the GRILLED FRESH SALMON ! It was anything but FRESH ! RUBBERY. The rice it sat on was old, dry, and flavorless . I got fries as one of my choices and when I asked for a bottle of ketchup she brought me packets I DON’T DO PACKETS ! One of the other choices was Caesar salad which I think should come out before the meal but it came with the meal and it was a dinner salad ! This place needs a new MANAGER cause like I said this place COULD be great – BUT – it’s NOT ! ! !

The place is simply amazing when it comes to the food. We ordered the chicken fajitas and shrimp tacos and it was delicious. The weather was perfect to go out and sit on the patio so it was an enjoyable experience. Staff were super pleasant! Definitely going back again.
