Ashley was super sweet & made the best lunch imaginable! Teriyaki meatball grinder with chips & chicken salad on a panini with lobster bisque soup! Super cheap too and absolutely delicious!

Sometimes, the best recommendations come from locals. While exploring antique shops in Granby, my family and I found ourselves in need of lunch. The owner of a local shop suggested The Trading Post Eatery, a place he’d heard great things about. We decided to take his advice, and I am so glad we did.

This small eatery is an absolute gem. We were immediately greeted by a friendly woman who made us feel right at home. I ordered the Honey Mustard Chicken wrap, which was incredible. The flavor was spot on, and you could tell it had been made fresh just for me. My mom couldn’t stop raving about her BLT, claiming it was the best she’s ever had. The bacon was thick and perfectly crisp, which is a rare and delightful find.

The only small hiccup was the lack of beverages for sale, but this was easily solved with a quick stop at the gas station right next door. While the interior seating is limited, they have a few tables outside that are perfect for a nice day.

Overall, The Trading Post Eatery is a fantastic stop. If you find yourself in the area, it’s well worth a visit for some truly amazing food.

Stopped in for lunch today. Was greeted by friendly staff and a wide variety of delicious choices. Couldn’t decide, so had a French Dip on a bulky roll and took a salad home to have for dinner.
Wow.
The sandwich was hot and delicious, on very fresh bread. I was pleasantly surprised.
When I got to the salad I was floored. The fresh veggies were abundant and perfect with the salad dressing and delightful mix of cheese and fruit….. this salad was the best salad I’ve eaten in years – surpassed any dinner salad I’ve had in a 4 star restaurant.
Treat yourself- it really doesn’t get much better. I would have paid twice what I did and still felt like I was getting a great value.

The service here is friendly, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. There doesn’t appear to be a commercial kitchen in the back, which may explain some of the quality issues. We ordered a chicken salad sandwich and a grilled cheese and waited about 15 minutes. The chicken salad was poor quality, and the bread was stale to the point of crumbling as we tried to eat it. The grilled cheese had no butter, was just pressed on a panini press, and the cheese wasn’t even melted. Sadly, I would not recommend this place.

Clam chowder without clams and served lukewarm. I’m not even sure it had cream. No oyster cracker either. Meh!

Simple sandwich shop. Incredible amount of meat in the sandwich. Don’t know how they can afford to supply so much food for the price. Large selection.
Subway serves food with tweezers, the Trading Post serves with shovels (figuratively speaking).

The Trading Post catered lunch for a birthday party at Salmon Brook Park with over 50 guests and the food was great! They delivered and helped get the trays set up for our lunch.

I got a steak and cheese sandwich and a cup of soup. The sandwich was robust and the soup was great. If you have a hearty appetite, this is a good place to start. If you want value, this is a great place to visit. I can’t think of another place in town with soup and sandwich for around $10!

Extremely slow service. We were the only people in the shop and it took about 30 minutes to get some sandwiches. The staff was handing out talking instead of getting the food out.

In response to the owners reply, we were never made aware that they were being interviewed or that the order would take longer than normal. If they communicated that, we would have totally understood and likely would have went somewhere else as we were in a bit of a hurry. Also, 5 sandwiches should not be considered a large order for a sandwich shop, especially when we were the only order they were working on. I was going to remove my post but they are being dishonest in their response which is not appropriate.
