Rise Café is truly a staple in Somerset and one of those places that makes our community feel special. The donuts are absolutely amazing, fresh, creative, and honestly the best around the area. Their food is just as delicious, whether you’re stopping in for breakfast or grabbing something quick.
What really makes Rise stand out, though, is the kindness of the staff. Every visit feels welcoming, friendly, and genuine. You can tell they truly care about their customers and the community they serve.
If you’re in Somerset and haven’t stopped by yet, you’re missing out. Great food, incredible donuts, and the nicest people you’ll meet. Highly recommend! ☕

One of the best cafes I’ve been to.
got the sweet bread egg sandwich, linguica pop egg sandwich and taro smoothie.
both sandwiches were nice and soft and warm.
the taro smoothie was wicked good (order it without added sugar, the taro is sweet enough)
the workers were very kind and were so excited to help me. 😀

This place has the customer service that America desperately needs. America NEEDS this customer service. Sweet ladies working there asking us how our day was, if we like the food, where we were from, like they treated us like royalty. They came to our table to pack our stuff when all we asked was for a bag. Linguica bread was delicious, they grill it and serve it hot. Latte was perfect and their breakfast sandwiches are tasty. But would made everything so much better so much greater was the service and a smile. The lady was smiling from the moment we walked into the moment that we walked out.

The owners/staff are EXCEPTIONAL- I bring my nieces whenever I visit them in town and we all love it. They’ve tossed in extra pastries for the girls before, and remember them from previous visits. Absolutely love Rise… wouldn’t go anywhere else!! (Doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches, boba, lattes, smoothies… we’ve tried it all and it is SO. GOOD. without fail every time!

The pho was bland, portion is small for the price. Service was nice and the café was clean. If you like pho I’d recommend going elsewhere for it.

Two Stars for One Great Sandwich
My husband and I decided to try this cafe, but our visit was a mixed bag. The pictures online looked great, but upon entering, the cafe felt a bit run-down and had a noticeable fly problem, which was a disappointing start.
I ordered a caramel latte that was, unfortunately, one of the worst I’ve ever had. It was incredibly bitter, not sweet at all, and the caramel tasted like artificial cough syrup. Even after mixing it repeatedly and asking for more cream, a thick layer of unmixed syrup remained at the bottom, and I simply couldn’t drink it.
The donuts were also a letdown. I ordered a cinnamon roll that was messy and dry, with all the glaze falling off on the first bite. It did not taste fresh at all, which was particularly disappointing. Overall, the total for our drinks and baked goods was about $50, which felt incredibly steep for the poor quality we received.
However, the one saving grace of our entire visit was the bacon, egg, and English muffin breakfast sandwich. The egg was fluffy, juicy, and hot, and the English muffin tasted like it had just been freshly baked. It was, without a doubt, a perfect sandwich and the only reason this review is not one star.
In short, while the breakfast sandwich was a definite 10/10, the rest of our experience was a major letdown.

The Rise Café is fantastic! Their bakery items are top notch—the warmed feta and spinach pastries are a 10/10, and the donuts are super fresh and delicious. The boba teas are excellent as well, with the coconut being my personal favorite—light, refreshing, and full of flavor. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

The owners of this place are so nice. It’s a local, No-Frills place that has some great food. I love the egg and cheese on a bagel. It’s toasted well with 2 eggs. Donuts are awesome too.

I’m giving this place 1 star because I feel swindled. I went through the drive thru thinking the pricing would be what I saw on google (attached). The drive thru sign had different pricing ($4 for the breakfast sandwich so ok). I ordered two English breakfast sandwiches, one ice coffee and one “tuna melt”. I was charged $27.30 and the only reason I know is because I looked at my bank account. No one told me the prices and the prices they had in the drive thru sign don’t add up to this price. No receipt was provided. The English breakfast sandwiches were good, nothing spectacular but solid sandwiches. The ice coffee was really good, very good coffee here. And the tuna melt was cold, and had no cheese. I also think there could have been more tuna on the sandwich. The person asked me if I wanted a panini for the tuna to which I said yes. How is my sandwich still cold with no cheese? For this price, I could get 2 large burritos with extra meat and all the toppings I want at my local burrito place so I’m pretty disappointed with how much food I’ve received and paid for. Looking at their DoorDash, it looks like they charge $7.20 for an English breakfast sandwich which is absurd.
Now looking at other negative reviews, it looks like they do sketchy stuff with paying with a credit card.
I wish I had checked out the coffee place across the street from them instead.
