That said, the food survived with 3 stars for being edible and warm. Fries were good, tomato aioli was very good, but they could not save the restaurant from a 1 star review due to some disgruntled idiot working the front door who outright refused to seat us. The host graciously swept over and began to seat us after a nasty sneer, awkward conversation about whether or not we would be seated, and a venomous “well I’M not seating ANYONE!” from the obviously annoyed server. Apparently they found that seating patrons was outside of their responsibility, which would maybe make sense if she was a good server, but her performance in that department was no better.
To be clear, our server, Kayden was basically a delight and everyone else except this unknown was willing to help and happy to have us. But this person could not even be bothered to seat us. Incredible.
The food itself was also disappointing. The fries that came with my meal were half-cooked and limp, lacking any real crispness. My tacos were missing both the sauce and sides that were listed on the menu, leaving them bland and incomplete. Overall, the presentation and quality didn’t match the expectations or price point.
Service was lackluster at best — no check-ins after the food arrived, no apologies for the delay, and no effort to make things right. What could have been an enjoyable meal turned into a frustrating experience that felt rushed and careless.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this visit made it hard not to. With some better attention to timing, quality, and service, this place could be much improved — but as of now, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return.
This is the small salad $10 with $6 worth of shrimp. FOUR small shrimp for $6 extra dollars on top of 4oz of greens. Please reconsider your recipe portion sizes if you think it’s ok to charge that much.
Again, this is a well loved establishment,
The staff is wonderful, the bakery and desserts are so good, and the food is delicious but this is not acceptable.
The service was outstanding considering how packed this place was. A huge thank you goes out to the hostess who’s name I didn’t get, and to our server Lilly. Great job to all! We will definitely be back next time we’re in Deltaville
The help is quick and accommodating. The food arrived quickly and was more interestingly prepared than your average eatery . I had the basil chicken salad sandwich on a multigrain toast with lettuce and tomato, my friend had their well known fried chicken sandwich with a slaw topping both were very pleasing . We ordered the side of fries which is enough for 2 but if you have more at your table a bucket of fries is offered. The patrons were very varied from children to grandma and all seemed friendly . This is a well liked local restaurant nestled oddly in a strip mall in the popular boating/sailing town of Deltaville . Additionally they serve ice cream for those who simply want a cold treat. While I have some issues with the decor as it doesn’t seem a natural blend with the area or food offerings , perhaps they’ll get the vibe refined in the future. All things considered I think it’s a worthwhile stop to dine at and you won’t leave hungry ! Try it !
My critique of the restaurant is that nothing comes with sides, so we ordered the basket of fries. They showed up once I was halfway done with the sandwich, so we didn’t even eat any of them at that point. And the biggest feedback is we waited forever for our food. I was twitching with anxiety waiting for it to come out. I could feel myself aging waiting for it.
